Three Beltway amateurs will be in action tonight at the National PAL Championships in Oxnard, CA. Two of the boxers will be in championship matchups.
Capitol Heights, MD 106-pounder Gary Antonio Russell will face Edwin Sandoval of Bakersfield, CA in the championship of the 15/16 age group.
In the 154-pound 15/16 age group, Desmond Nicholson of Laurel, MD will be in the title matchup against Ivan Zubieta of Dallas, TX.
Meanwhile, Baltimore, MD's Tavon Sol will be in the semi-finals of the 201+pound open division against Danny Calhoun of Cincinnati, OH.
