Baltimore, MD super middleweight "The Heavy-Hitting Diva" Franchon Crews Dezurn has an opponent for her six-round contest on Friday, June 22nd at the Masonic Temple in Detroit, MI.
Dezurn (3-1, one KO) will take on Crystal Byers of Ohio. Byers (0-3) last fought on April 21st and lost a four-round unanimous decision to Samantha Pill in Fairmont, WVA. This will be the first six-round contest for Byers, while Dezurn's last contest was a six-round unanimous decision victory over Tiffany Woodard on January 12th in Verona, NY.
The Dezurn-Byers bout will be on the undercard of the Women's Middleweight championship doubleheader featuring Ashburn, VA's Tori "Sho Nuff" Nelson challenging Christina Hammer of Dortmund, Germany for Hammer's WBC and WBO Middleweight titles and Claressa Shields taking on Hanna Gabriels for the vacant WBA and IBF Middleweight championships. Both bouts will be televised live on Showtime.
