The 2016 Tri-Beltway Boxing Prospect Of The Year and USBO Light Heavyweight champion will challenge for the vacant IBO World Light Heavyweight championship against Karo Murat of Bayern, Germany on Saturday, March 24th at the Inselparkhalle in Hamburg, Germany.
Reeves (15-2-2, seven KO's) has won 12 straight bouts including winning the USBO championship in a second-round TKO over Aaron Quattrocchi in December of 2016 in Baltimore. In his last outing, Reeves won by four-round disqualification over Josue Obando on June 17th in Baltimore.
Murat (31-3-1, 20 KO's) is the current IBF International Light Heavyweight and European Boxing Union Light Heavyweight champion who won the EBU title in his last bout, an 11th-round TKO over previously undefeated Dominic Boesel on July 1st in Dresden, Germany. Murat once challenged for the IBF World Light Heavyweight title dropping a 12-round unanimous decision to Bernard Hopkins in December of 2013 in Atlantic City, NJ.
