We have yet another candidate for Beltway Boxing Knockout of the Year. Mario Flores used a brutal right hand to drop Christian Pittman three times en route to a first-round stoppage.
Early in the first, Flores dropped Pittman with a solid right hand. Moments later, Flores used the same punch with the same result.
As soon as Pittman got up from the second knockdown, Flores came roaring out of the neutral corner, right hand cocked. Flores rushed over and fired the right hand landing flush on Pittman's jaw and knocking him out. The bout was immediately stopped at 1:51.
Flores is now 5-1-2, four KO's. Pittman drops to 3-5.
Now in the ring, Jonathan "El Conquistador" Cepeda of New York City (14-1, 12 KO's) takes on Lester "El Cubanito" Gonzalez of San Diego, CA. Eight rounds, super middleweights.
