Gervonta "Tank" Davis has won a six-round unanimous decision over German"Panteonero" Meraz tonight at the Beau Rivage Casino in Biloxi, MS.
According to Tracy Morin of Fightnews.com, Davis dropped Meraz in the second and fifth rounds with solid right hooks. Meraz managed to last the distance, making him the first man to go the distance with Davis.
Davis won by shutout, 60-52, across the board to raise his record to 9-0, eight KO's. Meraz falls to 47-32-1, 25 KO's.
We are still waiting for results from the bouts featuring Phil Jackson-Benson and Joshua Snyder. They may take place after the ESPN2 telecast.
