Joshua Davis wins a six-round split decision over an extremely games Thomas Herrera.
Both men traded punches extremely well throughout the contest. Davis more than likely won the contest in the last two rounds when he landed solid right hands that made Herrera start to take backward steps.
Judge John Gradowski scored the bout for Herrera, 58-56. However, both Paul Wallace and Don Risher saw the bout for Davis, 58-56 and 59-55 respectively.
Davis is now 7-1, three KO's. Herrera is now 3-12-1.
Next up, Hyattsville, MD lightweight Patrick Harris takes on Michael Doyle of Prichard, AL. Four rounds.
