Undefeated DC heavyweight Danny "Smooth" Kelly makes his first appearance of 2014 on Thursday, June 5 when he takes on Eric Newell of Bethlehem, PA at the House of Blues in Boston, MA.
According to Boxrec.com, the bout is scheduled for four rounds. However, a spokesman for Kelly told BATB that the bout would be a six-round contest.
Kelly (5-0-1, four KO's) won a six-round majority decision over David Long on November 30 in Cincinnati, OH. Newell (7-2-2, five KO's) will try to bounce back from a six-round draw with Mark Rideout on December 18 in Bethlehem.
