Heavyweight Darnell "The Ding-A-Ling Man' Wilson, who fought most of his pro career out of Takoma Park, MD, hit the scales at 242 pounds for his eight-round contest on Saturday at Gerry Weber Stadion in Halle/Westfalen, Germany. His opponent, undefeated Edmund Gerber of Germany by way of Kazakhstan, came in at 231 pounds.
Wilson (24-15-3, 20 KO's) relocated to Florida a few years ago and will be looking to break a three-bout losing streak. Gerber (21-0, 14 KO's) is coming off a fourth-round TKO over Michael Sprott on September 15 in Bamberg, Bayern, Germany
