Capitol Heights, MD light heavyweight Henry "Sugar Poo" Buchanan returns to the ring for the first time since August 2010 to face "The Sioux Warrior" Shawn Hawk on Saturday, March 31 at the 4 Bears Casino and Lodge in New Town, North Dakota. The bout is slated for 10 rounds.
Buchanan (20-2, 13 KO's) has not fought since his ninth-round TKO over Bobby Jordan on August 14, 2010 in Norfolk, VA. Buchanan has won three straight since his February 2009 loss to Andre Ward for the NABO Super Middleweight title.
Hawk (22-1-1, 17 KO's) fights out of Atlantic City, NJ but is originally from Sioux Falls, SD. Hawk has won four in a row including a 10-round split decision over Otis Griffin on October 20 in Worley, ID. Hawk survived a knockdown to win the bout.
