The "Road To London" all-female amateur boxing card series returns to the Beltway-area on Saturday, April 9 at the Sugar Ray Leonard Boxing Center in Palmer Park, MD. The card is slated to feature some outstanding boxing talent.
Scheduled to be on the card are local favorites Asia Stevenson, who has won titles in the Junior Olympics, Silver Gloves and local Golden Gloves, Franchon Crews, a formernational champion at 154 and 165 pounds, and Marita Gumbs, who will be trying for her first Washington Golden Gloves championship tonight in Waldorf.
Promoter "The Fightlady" Wanda Bruce has also brought in a number of outstanding boxers from out of town including five-time national PAL, Women's Golden Gloves and Ringside world champion Britney Inkrote and Ringside national champ Andrecia Wasson.
The card begins at 6 PM.
