L.Peterson to Battle for Interim World Title April 4 in Montreal!

It looks like we may have a date and location for Lamont Peterson's interim world title bout. ESPN.com's Dan Rafael's is reporting that Peterson will battle Willy Blain on Saturday, April 4 in Montreal, Canada.

The bout will be shown on Showtime as a co-feature to the junior welterweight unification bout between Timothy Bradley and Kendall Holt. Both men are undefeated (Peterson, 25-0, 12 KO's; Blain, 20-0, three KO's). Top Rank Chair Bob Arum told Rafael that Showtime has signed off on the bout and are working out details with the Blain camp.

Peterson was BATB's choice (along with Joshua Snyder) as 2008 Beltway Boxer of the Year.

Digital, Josh Snyder is fighting a huge fight on that card too. The dude he is fighting is like 19-2-3 or something like that.

It's been a while since I've seen either Peterson brother in action. I can't wait. It's too bad Anthony was injured before last week's scheduled bout. He and Edner Cherry would've stolen the show.
