Here is the scale watch for tomorrow's Ballroom Boxing card at Michael's Eighth Avenue in Glen Burnie, MD:
Ron Boyd 131 1/2 vs. Tyrell Samuel 131 1/2
Seth Mitchell 243 vs. Mike Miller (will weigh-in tomorrow)
Antonio Walls 158 1/4 vs. Calvin Aughtrey 161 1/4
Cecil McCalla 156 1/2 vs. Ivan Zigler 155
Steve Weimer 138 3/4 vs. Juan Thompson 142 1/4
William Bailey 189 3/4 vs. Harvey Jolley 195 1/2
Bobby Jordan 171 3/4 vs. William Jeter 173 1/4
Miller is a last-minute replacement for Leo Bercier. Miller, a native of Akron, OH (5-12-2, three KO's), fought Mitchell in Mitchell's pro debut back on January 18 in Pikesville, MD and lost a four-round unanimous decision. Miller is coming off a first-round knockout of previously undefeated David Long on August 30 in Cincinnati, OH.
This card will mark the long-awaited pro debut of McCalla, a junior middleweight from Baltimore.

who's these guys I never heard of them.So I looked them up on boxrec.R Boyd was koed in his last 2 fights T Sauels lost his last fight. The ballroom must be getting desperate.I cant pay for this show I must stay home for this one.Going to a real show Nov 1
Go right ahead. We clearly won't miss you. Tyrell is a strong local fighter who stepped up on Showtime and lost to Eric Hunter. He was scheduled to fight on a previous show but his opponent pulled out. Ron Boyd has lost two in a row both against undefeated guys, so this is a crossroads fight for two Beltway Boxers. They are not just being given set-ups with overmatched opponents like you will see on November 1, that is not the way fights are made at the Ballroom.
Jolly and Bailey both have losing records, but they have both won and lost on Ballroom shows and they are fighting crossroads fights as well. Bailey has been winning and Jolly can even his record.
Seth Mitchell is fighting his first six round fight against a tough kid in Miller. I just put Miller in with a 6-0 kid in Cincy, and when Miller knocked him out in the first round, security had to be called to escort him from the ring. It was a situation where he fought very well but instead of being able to celebrate, he had to run for his life. So he steps in with Mitchell, another undefeated prospect in his home town. Rest assured that our crowd will be more respectful.
Weimer is a stablemate of Carney Bowman's from York and a very good looking prospect. As York is only an hours up the road, putting him on against a kid from Virginia makes sense, and hopefully it will be a good fight as Thompson has been off.
And you want to complain about fights on this card- then come and watch Bobby Jordan Jr. vs.William Jeter. Jordan is 5-0, and Jeter would be 4-0 if he had not had two of his wins turned into No Contests for doing something that he should not be doing on his off days. This should be a great fight and Jordan is one of the areas best young talents- Tell me is there a 168 fight that needs an opponent on Nov. 1- maybe Jordan could come down and fight Jeter at a catch weight of say 165. Let me know about that. Jordan would take it in a second, let me know what Jeter says> No, you don't have to I already know that he would turn it down.
And then we have some debuting Beltway boxers- Cecil McCalla from Baltimore and Antonio Walls from DC. I am sorry that they are not worth your time to come and see. They are both in real fights, so it might be worth a trip.
So if you want to go and run down someone else's show, you ought to have the balls to put your name on your trash and you ought to be prepared to be proven wrong. This is a good show and I do not even have to make a comparison to other shows. I know when a show is good.
Cecil is a lil beast. Watch him, very exciting fighter

Hey Boul you going to be there?
S T O R M ! ! !
Na I got all my kids tonight, I'm sure I'm missing a good show, but family first right. Are you....
Boul
I hear ya. Yes I will be there. Looking forward to seeing you ringside, better yet through the ropes soon!
Boxing people know this is a good solid show. Now if it packs 'em in or not is another question. Can't be there but would like to know about the crowd because it will give us an indication of the real boxing fans out there and the discretionary money they have for entertainment. I wish them well!
Good luck to all the fighters on the show, particularly the Virginia fighters William Bailey, Ivan Ziglar, and Juan Thompson and their trainer Reggie Barnette. And of course, Bobby Jordan, Jr. and his dad and trainer Bobby Jordan, Sr. I hope all of you come home with WINS!

Tony Jeter is a middleweight fighter not a super middle or lightheavy. Fighting Bobby Jordan a lightheavy would make no sense whatsoever. I understand you are trying to put together a good fight card but that fight makes little sense.

Tony Jeter is between a middle-supper middle weight. He is always over the 160lbs limit of middleweight. I dont see what would be so crazy about Jeter meeting Jordan at 165lbs. But Tony would NEVER fight Bobby Jordan thats a fact.
cecil mccalla is one of them upton
boy's if you are going to beat them
you got to rumble.
i want to see cecil again
