Boxingtalk.com has put out two major scoops concerning Beltway Boxing personnel.
First, Boxingtalk is reporting that the WBO will name Barry Hunter its Trainer of the Year! Hunter works with two boxers (lightweight Anthony Peterson and heavyweight Tony Thompson) who are the number one ranked boxers in their respective weight classes in the WBO.
Boxingtalk's Brad Cooney has an interview with Hunter that can be found here:

Meanwhile, Boxingtalk is also reporting that former heavyweight champion Hasim "The Rock" Rahman will return to the ring on Thursday, November 15 to take on another former world champion, "Merciless" Ray Mercer. The bout is scheduled to be held in Reading, PA and will be shown on the Versus Network. The report also says that if Rahman beats Mercer, a date with IBF Heavyweight champ Wladimir Klitchsko could be in his future.

GREAT JOB BARRY PROUD OF YOU
NICK KISNER
doesn't barry train both peterson
brothers?
He does. Lamont is ranked sixth in the WBO rankings. I was just making a point that he had two fighters ranked at the top of their weight classes.
Hopefully this time next year we'll be saying "Trainer of 3 World Champs." :)
Forget next year ACW...
CONGRATS today Barry!
In reaching out you catch and raise heart-n-bones-lives and spirits to new levels. You bring honor, and make us proud.
Congratulations Barry. Time, dedication, love for the sport, and love for your fighters. Those are the things that brought you to the top and the things that will keep you there. Everyone around the beltway applauds you.
Mike Sawyer
That's a long way from training Gary Grant! But, to his credit, Barry treated Gary (a career journeyman who won all his fights in Jamaica and was winless in the states) with the same respect he treated all his fighters. Classy guy!
Congrats Barry you have always been a great! trainer/mentor to me I'm very proud of you. Anythony &Lamont have always proven to be true Champions in and out of the ring. I can honestly say that I see those guy's being future Champions in several weightclasses.
RICHARD ARE YOU GONNA FIGHT SOON.
I dont have anything lined up I'm headed to Germany in a few weeks to put in some work sparring. I've been presented with fights but nothing solid I'm just a good sparring partner and availble to work with who ever.
Hey Richard when are you leaving to go? Good luck and are you still sparring William Joppy
I'm leaving November 17th and know I'm no longer sparring with Joppy. I tell you I'm having fun at this point in life. hopefully when I get back I can get an exhibition with Joppy or Sugar Poo both of whom I have a great respect for.I want to give a shout out to my good friends Corey Sanders, Mark Johnson & my mentor henrey Jones & Floyd Mayweather Sr for inspiring me and believing in me.
Richard who are you going to be sparring with and if they inspired you why are you a sparring partner
he's sparring partner because he's scared to fight anybuddy
I want you to understand that I'm sparring by choice and because I love Boxing. If I fight again it wont be around here you can believe that. And what does someone inspiring me has to do with me fighting. I'm working with several fighters from the Uk a friend has made way for me and I'm going to be ready for who ever.
