Fighting a bad cold, Dusty Harrison scored a second-round TKO over Shane Gierke. Harrison dropped Gierke three times, once with a scorching left hand to the body. Harrison finished it with a right to the head.
Harrison is now 9-0, five KO's. Gierke is now 5-27-2, four KO's.
We have interviews with Harrison and Kevin Rivers on Spreaker.com and the Post-Fight Wrap-up is forthcoming. For now, good night from DC!

Won't u fight him then, oh forgot ur record is 0-25, 25 get knocked outs. If u can't whoop Dusty then u shoud'nt talk.
Great job thats why you the Dmv Champion stop haiting fools as dudes
who did he fight oh I forgot nobody it was a gift LMAO
They must be handing out BELTS DMV champ and didn't fight to become the champ that's CRAZY how much money did Buddy pay for that
They actually paid a sanction fee of $4,300 to the DMV Boxing org wich was available to any DMV welter weight that was undefeated with a record better than 10-0. Being though there was none who wanted to pay the fee. They allowed the Harrison camp to do so with Dusty having a record of 8-0 at the time. Not sure who is behind the decision making, but to be honet the move was a brilliant one to say the least. According to recent news, Harrison will defend it against a VA fighter name Andrew Farmer on the Jimmy Lange undercard. I'll take the youngster on this fight by a KO. Farmer has not been as active and could somewhat be alittle rusty.
The Doo man has taken a couple years off to raise his kids
so don't know where you people get your information from but I can assure you it is incorrect.
As for him stopping Andrew
(not a chance)
Scott Farmer
Scott you dont even think Andrew can win you just dont want him to get stop
I agree, with a belt on the line stop fighting bums... Why should bums get a shot? Match him evenly. Gary, even you have to agree with that. If it's for a belt, it should be the best against the best. Dusty, I love you dude but stop playin bitch moves. Be the best... That means beat the best. I would love to hear your thoughts on this Gary! And remember, it's for a belt! Jeter fought a tough, strong guy with a 7-2 record with 7 ko's. That's a competitive, fair and evenlyI matched fight! I love me some Tony Mutha fuckin "Mo Better " Jeter....BITCHES!
CC
Hell no, that kid too young, let him build himself. He doing it right. Why ruin it so early at eighteen years old. Gary tells it like it is. Build these guys. Andew farmr is 16_2 but he aint got a chance with dusty. I can see tht. I do know that gthey are fighting on the jimmy lange show and i am going. Jetter beats lange in a upset.
Farmer is being offered 5,000 to fight harrison on the jimmy lange undercard but has not accepted as of friday the 28th. Personally i think the fight should be in wwashington dc
Things are going to start getting real interesting with Harrisons career. He is reaching the age, and experience level where he WILL HAVE TO fight people with some skills. However, I don't think they matched him soft, I think they matched him right. Especially considering his age. Not everyone is a monster at 20 like Tyson or Wilfredo Benitez, some people mature at different rates. None the less, I think its time to start stepping up, and fighting guys who will give him some rounds. You can destroy a young fighters confidence by throwing him in there with killers too early, just as you can instill FALSE Confidence into a fighter by feeding him too many bums. i think Harrisons handlers know that, and will start increasing the competition shortly.
i doubt it, he is only 18.
I think Harrison's camp doesn't give a shit about what the has-beens and no-names in this forum think. For anyone who think's he is being matched too soft, look at Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. first 15 fights. He took his time developing himself, his skills, and his persona. Last I checked, he just pocketed 3 million plus a percentage of PPV (over 225,000 buys vs. Martinez). Chavez is now set for life and will only keep getting bigger.
You don't need to throw Dusty to the wolves just yet. I don't even think he fought open class as an amateur. He is still developing as a fighter and will keep getting better and stronger with each fight. He might be a junior middleweight by the time he is fully developed. The next couple years will be fun to watch.
damn! someone with smarts. i agree 100% with you. nice the way you put it. that camp is looking at the long run, they know the real deal. let the kid grow. i knew he had a couple of hundred amauer fights, but never knew he turned pro before he was old enough to fight open. actually pretty impresive considering he now 9-0.
I nkow, but must admit the kid is exciting to watch.they dotreat him like a rock star. He does fight,no question about that-aint scared to slug it out. Guess thats why the fans love him- he will be punch drunk before hes 21 with the rate hes going. He seems to fight over a lot. Like every damn month. Too brave can be a bad thing, takes too many chances on getting hurt. He has they dumb ass mexican attitude. Just keep throwing no matter what. Yeah fans might like it but your brains will get rattled-
Wow is all I can realy say to some of the crap that people ramble on about. If I cannot fight then why in the hell throw my name in the mix to attempt to stir up interest? I have noted many times to many people that Dusty is a talented fighter and will go places. I highly doubt that he will go down to the Junior Welterweight division (he is far to big of a guy for that) so no need to get your hopes up people. I do wish him the best of luck on defending his title and I do hope that his camp brings him along the best way they see to do so, we all know that one punch can change everything in boxing. On another note...a business note...we have never been offered that kind of money for a local fight (not fighting a world champion or former world champion) in my weightclass (junior welterweight) and turned it down, think again please. Dont bother replying with negative and pointless comments. They will not earn a reply from me. Best of luck to all of the local fighters in the near future. As stated by my father I am taking a little time off to raise my two children and to spend the majority of my time earning an honest paycheck at my job since boxing has the tendancy no to pay the bills and support a family- except for a fortunate few.
-Andrew "DooMan" Farmer
Andrew is right! In fact, I was there when they asked Dusty about such and he just laughed at the rumors and went on to say how nice a guy Andrew Farmer is. Said he sparred with him before and enjoyed doing so. In fact, he mentioned that he even watched him fight a few times when he was a kid at 75lbs. Looks like the haters and trouble-makers cannot stir up things between these two. Dusty seems to like the guy!
Thomas Ko Snow suppose to fight for the The Dmv Beltnext month and I herd Jimmy and Jetter might for it. who ever started this its great for our area Gary or anybody tell me who started this Championship
Mark too sharp Johnson, Sharmba Mitchell, Norman Smith have been working on this for over three years. Those 3 have spent their own money (over $22,000) on this. They truly care about the fighters in the DMV and they want to give back. I think it's a wonderful thing they have started and I will support them in anyway possible. I seen all the articles written on DMV Boxing org. and I also seen the crowds response to local fighter being announced DMV Champion. This group will be around for years to come and The DMV Title will be something that we are all proud of. I do understand that the sanction fee is quite high, but if you consider the benifits, it's well worth it. These guys have started something that has helped all the local boxing people.
I didnt know thats who that was but yes guys I look forward to seeing your move in the right direction
