Grayton Stops Jones in One!

The preceding was a pummeling.  David Grayton knocked down Anthony Jones four times en route to a first-round stoppage at 2:14.  Three of the four knockdowns came on body shots.  Jones left the ring with a cough that he didn't have coming in.

Grayton is now 2-0, two KO's.  Jones is now 0-5.

Next:  The pro debut of junior lightweight Kevin Rivers, Jr. who faces David Warren Huffman.

And you still think this is the way to bring fighters along mr Williams.

When a fighter is just 2-0, I still think it's the better way. When he becomes nine or 10-0, depending on that fighter's development, then stepping up is a possibility.

what aprofessional way to hype up bum beaters digital. Comments like that are not necessary. If he did that to at least a fighter that wasnt off the street it would be a differnet story.

DayDay great fight keep your focus and don't worry about the haters . You have a good future. Congrats And can't wait to see you fight again.

That would only be when the opponents did not come to fight. And truly, that only happened once -- at a card in Springfield, VA in which none of the locals that fought truly benefited from the opposition they received. Guys were going down from the first and second punches on that one.

However, I did praise the promoter that night for battling to keep the card going -- the outcomes weren't his fault. I did say that some of those guys were there to pick up a paycheck, it was a LOT worse than what I saw Saturday night.

Times have changed and our young locals throughout the area are more talented then they were just a few years ago. I stand by my argument that there is no need to rush these guys at this young stage.

I agree they do not need to be "rushed". But what does the "pro" in pro boxing mean? They don't let pro basketball players go up against guys that wouldn't make a jr high school team, because they've just turned pro. It robs pro boxing fans of their money. Keep them in the amateurs if they need that much work. PRO boxing?

If DayDay or Harold Parker fight a real fighter both of them will lose all they beat are BUMS

You said it perfect... I agree 100% there should be a minimum expectation of what a Professional boxer should be held to... A federal commission would never allow this garbage, and sadly we will probably never see the day we get a federal commission.

DayDay is a real fighter. I seen him do a lot good things as amuater. Looks like his team that's behind him is moving him the right way. I see a lot for his future. Hope he stay focus and humble. I wish him and his team the best.
