These fights are terrible what in the hell is the DC Commission thinking ? Keystone ought to be asham of these matches what a f**king joke!!!!!!!

Brian said...

ok so there are complaints when they are matched too hard, too soft, too slow, too fast. Please tell us in your unfinite wisdom, who should they fight?

Anonymous said...

brian, ignore her, she does this all the time. you did a great job. i know it ain't easy.

Anonymous said...

The opponents have terrible records from state with horrible opposition... Easily the worst matched fights I've ever seen cc! I could draw names from a hat with teenaged girls in it and pick better fights! Does Gene really pay you, if so he is the worst business man in history and I would never get insurance from his company... Lls

Anonymous said...

That's right, cause a real matchmaker named JD Brown matched that fight! Why would they want to fight on a card that sells 200 tickets when they can go where the money is and fight in front of 7000...actual with that main event it will be over 8000! Oh fat boy, take notes from JD or atleast get connections to wealthy people that can afford a decent fight card!

Brian said...

7000 not even close

Anonymous said...

He just did you could not have been at tony Jeter show that was some bull

Anonymous said...

Dummy what does insurance have to do with boxing

Anonymous said...

Why don't you fight him tough guy

Anonymous said...

I don't understand. Why is everyone always on here talking about Keystone or any other promoter. If you don't like the fight card, don't spend your money to come out. There is no need to be ignorant.

FOS said...

Mr. Brian Dillon is obviously doing a great job, for all of Keystone's shows are packed. Yes he does look out for the the home-town boxers, and the trainers, managers, and boxers love him for it. He's not a sell-out guy just to make a good fight. He's a true DMV guy who anyone would want them in their corner. In fact, when the going gets rough for any local match-makers-they too call Mr. Brian Dillon. He's honest, sincere, and he gets the job done. He is a true professional! Stop Hatin, set back and learn from the best. Keep up the good work Brian. The DMV needs you!

i agree with FOS 100% Brian is the best that the area has.

Anonymous said...

Kevin Rivers will have a very tough fight on his hands.

Anonymous said...

the guy is 1-8 WTF are you talking about?

Anonymous said...

Just because he smashed Renaldo Gains, doesn't mean he will smash Kevin Rivers! Oh Yeah, he will give Kevin a rough time, but that doesn.t mean he will win.

And why do you want to see locals get losses so soon? What is the point of ANY of those bouts happening so early in their careers?

Let's wait until these guys knock off a good portion of the out of town guys. Then, when there are titles on the line, then we can look to see some of those bouts.

There have been so many situations where locals have been matched relatively early in their careers and even THE WINNER'S career suffered.

I use Allan Watts versus Beethavean Scottland as a prime example. We know what later happened to Scottland, but Watts's career was never the same after that bout. The bout was too early for both of them. It was a contest the local fans wanted to see but it didn't mean anything.

By contrast, when Darryll Tyson fought Reggie Green, that meant something -- titles were on the line. Even when Green fought Lyndon Paul Walker both times -- a local title was on the line each time. But Green had fought awhile before those bouts took place. He had established himself.

That's when these bouts you are talking about should rightly take place.

Gary to be the best you have to fight the best . You can't protect them for to long

Anonymous said...

Are there any amateur fights saturday anywhere in the dmv

Gary Digital Williams said...

Take a look at some of the local's records. With the exception of Dusty who has just eight fights, most of the others have just one or two, maybe three bouts on their record.

You have to test them sometime, that's true. But NOW is not the time!

Gary Digital Williams said...

And also Stevenson who has 16. He may be the ONLY one that I would look for a Maryland State title bout in that whole group. He has reached that point. No one else on the list comes close.

Anonymous said...

Gary what is amazing is that you don't seem to have the same attitude you had four or five years ago.
You openly critisized other young fighters for fighting soft in the begining.
Whats up flip flop

Gary Digital Williams said...

You have NEVER heard me say that a 1-0 rising talent boxer should fight a 2-0 rising talent boxer from this area. I've never said that.

Through my almost 28 years in this business, however, I have seen some changes. One of which is that we have now so many young talented boxers, that there is now no need to have gym wars. No need to get them knocked off by each other.

This has nothing to do with "flip-flop." This has to do with the boxing times we live in.

Are there any amateur fights this week in dmv area?

Anonymous said...

Brian,

Answer this. Is Gene finally making money on his shows? He lost more money than hair and he is damn near bald. If he is, you are the man and if not, then stick to day job..

Anonymous said...

Get off Gary's back. He loves these fighters, supports them and always tells it like he feels it. If you don't like it, try reading Chrissy Midofous crap on here!!

Gary Digital Williams said...

To my knowledge, there are no amateur cards this week in the DMV. There are two coming up in mid-October that I will be talking about in detail in the next week or so. One will be in Hagerstown on October 13 and one will be in Baltimore on October 20. Both will be for worthy causes.

very bad fight for kevin rivers pro debut, this is the same guy that destroyed renaldo gaines twice. who is managing kevin rivers? this is just completely unfair.

Anonymous said...

there was one amateur show at the sugar ray's on 9-29 but that was postponed to 10-2 7pm and 10-3 3pm

Anonymous said...

Yes their is a two day amateur program this Friday-Saturday. It's a Round 1 promotion and it's at Sugar Ray Leonard gym in Palmer Park.

Anonymous said...

Correct, it was moved to next week Fri & Sat.

Dusty is the DMV Champ what is that a minor belt for local fightets

Gary Digital Williams said...

I think the "DMV Boxing Federation" wants to go in that direction but I can't fully speak for them. BATB is not affiliated officially with this group.

Ping said...

Dusty is ex-DMV Champ because DMV Boxing Org. states that all professionals fighters ranked with the DMV must be atleast 21 years of age. If I am correct, he is just 17, therefore he must wait for another 4 years before regaining title. Most likely title will go to an undefeated wetlerweight from VA.

Anonymous said...

bullshit-he still has the belt. if thats the case, i see a huge lawsuit coming. word is dusty moving to 140 anyway. him and andrew doo mam farmer are scheduled to fight on the jimmy lange card.

Anonymous said...

if they were scheduled to be on the lange card they would probably be the co feature. but they aren't.

Brian said...

Not on the October 27th show. Dusty is scheduled for November 3rd in DC

Ralph Clark said...

Dusty Harrison only fights in Washington DC. I read that on Stiffjabb boxing article. He only fights under keystone Boxing due to receiving large discounts on his insurance policy. According to MVA records, his license has been revoked because of illegal fire-arms hidden behind Sony Stereo System. After being questioned by the MPD, he blamed to on Biggie Smalls. Judge Wilson who was hearing the case decided that Dusty was not guilty because he was not fit to stand trial. Court-room busted out into laughter when he introduced his cousin Jose Garcia a convicted felon as his Public Defender.

Dusty is the DMV Champion a small group of guys from Wash Dc has started this belt Jimmy Lange and jetter is going to fight for it to so they are moving in the right direction

I am a bit tired of the mismatches. This card isn't the biggest joke of the year. That card that Cassandra Babiegirl White put on in DC was the worst. Get down or lay down? ALL the underdogs came to lay down in that one.

Gary Digital Williams said...

That wasn't White's card. That was Jeter's card with that moniker.

Anonymous said...

finally someone made some hard local matches or dream matches,Dusty vs Petey,I think we may find out the poney tailed arab ha been protecting Pete too much, and Ksner vs kelley, kelley too strong physically Kisner may run out of running room
