Seth Mitchell makes a solid statement in the heavyweight division with his thrashing of Timor Ibragimov!
Ibragimov thought the bout shouldn't have been stopped. Some in the press section thought Ibragimov's corner stopped the bout. First time Ibragimov has been stopped.

Incredible statement of real power shown by Mitchell. I felt that Ibragimov would beat Mitchell because Mitchell hasn't been in with tough opposition yet and Ibragimov has. Mitchell must have legit would class power to stop a guy like Ibragimov. Very, very impressive win by Mitchell. He's still not ready for the title yet but he's definitely a contender. I wonder who's next for Seth? There aren't really a whole lot of choices. Maybe a Kevin Johnson or even Jonathan Banks or Chazz Witherspoon if HBO deems them worthy. Interesting to see how that will play out.
Mitchell said at the post-fight press conference that he wasn't ready for a title shot until 2013.
Chazz Witherspoon and Chris Arreola have both turned down bouts against Mitchell. Johnson did call Mitchell out in Atlantic City but he is now looking for a promoter, so we'll see on that one.
