Here is the recap from the Keystone Boxing "In Yo Face at Showplace" card at the Show Place Arena in Upper Marlboro, MD:
Suitland, MD cruiserweight Venroy "Hard Work" July scored a first-round knockout over Jason "The Mason" Pauley of Chesapeake, WVA. The knockout came at 2:29 of the round. July is now 9-0-2, three KO's. Pauley falls to 5-6, one KO.
Debuting Norfolk, VA heavyweight Dennis Benson knocked out Springdale, MD's Abodurin "Big Bo" Akinyanju at 2:36 of the third round. Despite a 50-pound weight disadvantage (243-293), Benson was able to push Akinyanju around the ring until he separated long enough to land a devastating right-left combination. Akinyanju tried to get up but couldn't. Akinyanju is now 4-2, three KO's.
Lenwood "Mr. Composure" Dozier of Glen Burnie, MD scored a second-round KO over Laurel, MD welterweight Norman "The Shadow" Allen Dozier dropped Allen in the first and finished him with a nice combo at 1:25 of the second. Dozier bounces back from his TKO loss to Emmanuel Taylor and is now 7-3-1, three KO's. Allen has now lost five in a row and evens his record to 6-6, three KO's.
Columbia, MD middleweight Tony "Mo Better" Jeter won a four-round unanimous decision over Suitland, MD-based Ken Dunham. Two judges scored the bout 40-36 while one had it 39-37. Jeter is now 12-2-1, nine KO's. Dunham falls to 6-13-1, four KO's.
Baltimore, MD middleweight Omar "The Machine" Sims won a four-round majority decision over Columbia's Barry Trotter. Two judges scored the bout 39-37 for Sims and one judge scored it even at 38-38. Sims is 6-4-3, three KO's. Trotter loses for the first time as a pro and is 2-1, one KO.
The pro portion of the card got off to an ominous beginning as Baltimore junior welterweight Kevin "The Scarecrow" Womack, Jr. scored perhaps the Beltway Knockout of 2011 with a fourth-round knockout of Benjamin Olinga of DC. Womack hit the shorter Olinga with a brutal right uppercut that put Olinga on the canvas for several moments. Olinga was conscious and alert as he was taken from the ring on a stretcher. Olinga went to a nearby hospital for observation and a CAT scan.
In amateur bouts on the card. Steven Clark of Sugar Ray Leonard Gym scored an RSC-3 over Montez Williams of Diamonds N' The Ruff at 115 pounds. At 178 pounds, Ed Lay of Langdon Recreation Center won a decision over Greg Berger of Tony's Boxing Club.
Also at 178, Gregory Newby of Limelite won over Antwan Ward of Sugar Ray Leonard. At 165 pounds, National PAL champion D'Mitrius Ballard of No Xcuse won over Lonnie Hayes of LA Boxing.
Keystone Boxing promoted the card. The matchmakers of the pro portion were Josh Hall and Raymond Jackson. The matchmaker for the amateur portion was Julius "Juice" Gatling.

Jeter was strong, not a big fan but can't deny it.
Jeter did ok, his performance wasn't my problem. (Although, I have to say leaning forward and sticking out your elbow exposing those ribs is not a good look). My problem was the excessive celebration after the fight. He went the distance with a 6-13 fighter, yet is walking around with his hands up, gloating, pointing at people in the crowd and taking flics with his 'entourage' as if he just won the WWE title or something. For real, for real, he's lucky Dunham only fought in spots most of the fight, because they were pretty much even when Dunahm decided to let his hands go.
Overall good card though. I thoroughly enjoyed it. All it really was missing was the proper lighting and a replay screen. (Ballroom Boxing was great at that). Wouldn't mid seeing that Womack-Olinga KO. Is Olinga okay Gary? Lenwood was on his GAME!

I thought Jeter did a good job against a veteran opponent. Keep it up Jeter, you can fight.
Not denying Jeter did okay, the body work was particularly good and very smart of him. He just needs to chill with the grandstanding, its not a good look. Because again, if Dunham actually fought all four rounds, that would have been a different fight.
Who would win - Jeter or Lange?

Womack looked great. He had a tricky fight and threw a tremendous right hand to end the fight. Jeter actually was knocked down in the first, buut ref missed it. Jeter was hit right on his heart and was dropped. Had ref called it right, Jeter fought to a draw.
Jeter would beat Lange hands down.
people can say what they want about lange.He is much too experienced in the ring-pro fights. He has endoured punishment and came thru. Jeter took punishment on one occasion and has yet to recovery mentally from that. Lange would eventually break jeter down and knock him out. No use in puting that fight on. It does nothing for lange. I havent been in the ring with jeter but i have been in the ring with lange. He deserves mor credit than people give him. I'm going on what i have-or have not seen from jeter. That is the simple fact that he wont fight anyone that even stands a chance. If jeter would stop being the tin man then he would become something. Right now i know a few 140-154 lbers that would beat him down.
why do people speak of Jeter fighting Lange, Nicklow or Sigmon? It is well known that Jeter refuses to fight anyone who has not been ko'd several times. He has 15 fights against guys who are all upside down for their career over ten years. Lange is the same age and has 45 fights. Let's spend time speaking in reality, about real fighters who take the sport seriously.

are you nuts? that youngin dusty would out-class jeter all day long. the kid is only around 140 but would demolish that bumb. i'd bet the house on it. i notice that jeter is fighting derrett crockett who dusty with only 4 fights was scheduled to fight him on december 10th. be for real. the kid is already looking at an 8 rounder in june. furthermore, they have the kid at wild card as we speak, he is working with amir khan a stable-mate from golden-boy.

I think Tony is a decent fighter but the kid Dusty is on another level. I just watched 2 of his pro fights on you tube and Tony Jeter would be smart to stay away from him. If Dusty moves up to 147-154 that fight just might happen. Tony Jeter needs to step it up sooner or later.

Close, but Tony over Dusty. Dusty's mind not right yet. Too babied over the years by his old man. Needs to get out from under the wing of his overbearing dad. In boxing, more so than any other sport, sometimes it's family that holds you back more than anything else.

It's hard to believe you people are even having this conversation. I am a Tony Jeter fan, but I also know that he is getting older and would not stand a chance with Dusty. Furthermore, Tony is fighting at 2 weight classes above the youngster. Tony is smart and is doing the right thing while he can. You guys critisize him all the time but give him a break, he's doing what he can. I do know that Golden Boy pays their oppenants better than anyone else, so maybe they could agree to a catch weight. Dusty gets another win, Tony gets a decent pay-day. Both win!I believe Dusty's last fight was at 140 and Tony's was 160 plus. Big difference in boxing. I can remember fighting in Philly at 118 and took a foolish fight at 126 and he was like a giant to me. I regretted it almost immediatly.
I think alot of people have a problem with the way Tony carries himself-the over the top celebrations as if he just beat somebody good.People have to know hes padding his record so he can get a decent payday before its too late and there is nothing wrong with that but he acts like hes an up and coming contender when hes not and if you act like that people are going to call you out on it.Can he fight?Sure but not anywhere near as good as he thinks or acts like.I think his recent opponents have been horrible truthfully but I understand what hes trying to do but again his biggest problem is he acts like hes beating contenders and hes not.

Travis has discussed a fight with Dusty, he refused and he is being smart. Why would he take a chance on losing to a 17 year old that everyone would be rooting for? He has no chance what-so-ever. LMAO anybody who thinks a 17 year old kid would beat Jeter is insane! First off, fight would never happen seeing as the are in completely different weight classes. Beyond that, hate all day and say what you will, but Jeter can fight. He also had success as an amauteur. Dusty is skilled but even at the same weight Tony is older and too strong for Dusty. I wish all fighters in the area the best
u must not know either fighter, i've known tony for over 3 years and dusty , i never missed the golden gloves tournaments. plus seen both of them on utube in the pros. ofcourse that fight will never happen, tony will never, ever fight dusty. atually i think dusty beats tony while weighing 140 n tony weighing 160 or more. tony's own camp will tell u the same thing. i think they know him better than both of us. tony is my man, but he will not come close to beating that kid.
Al Hayman will have to pay Tony Jeter good money before that fight ever happens! Tony ain't taking no ass whipping for nothing. He's been in this game too long, he knows the ropes.
