I've covered the Boxing scene in the Washington, DC/Baltimore area for 36 years. I was inducted into the Washington, DC Boxing Hall of Fame in November, 2009. I am also a feature writer for Fightnews.com. I was the play-by-play announcer on the TV series "Boxing Spotlight" which highlighted pro boxing along the Beltway. DO you think father time has caught with Purcell?
The best that you can say about Purcell is that he's facing a guy coming off a knockout loss. The worst you can say is that he hasn't fought in two years. Should be interesting!
By the way, Kisner's bout heading into the final round. Kisner looking good thus far.
Some of you may remember Tinsley when he fought in DC at the Ibiza against Ola Afolabi! He also holds wins against former world champ Lou Del Valle and Alfredo Escalera, Jr.
Gary I was the third man in the ring with Purcell in fairfax few years ago,it seemed to me that his timing and speed is gone.But I Think he still has the punch.What do you think?(billy johnson)
