New Promotional Company Brings Boxing to Millersville April 15!

Boxing returns to the Maryland Sportsplex in Millersville, MD on Friday, April 15 with a new promotional company bringing in the card.

United Boxers, a new promotional company launched by legendary matchmaker Chris Middendorf, will have their inaugural card at the Maryland Sportsplex, featuring boxers from the Baltimore side of the Beltway.

Four undefeated boxers will be on the card. Cruiserweight Russ "The Hammer" Shiflett (9-0-1, five KO's) will headline the card along with welterweight Emmanuel "Tranzformer" Taylor (13-0, 10 KO's), cruiserweight "Slick" Nick Kisner (7-0, five KO's) and the return of multi-regional champion James "Keep 'Em Sleepin'" Stevenson (13-0, 10 KO's).

Also slated to be on the card are Beltway fan favorites "The Persecutor" Mike Paschall (21-2-1, four KO's), Ishmail "The Arsenal" Arvin (15-2-4, seven KO's) and Jessie "The Beast" Nicklow (20-1-3, seven KO's). No word yet on opponents.

In a press release, Middendorf said there are more cards planned for the Beltway area.

“We have six events planned for the Maryland area with the next one on May 21st at the Maryland Sportsplex and then every other month in Maryland. We will also be promoting several events in Washington D.C. and Virginia.”

This card is presented in association with local promoter Gene Molovinsky.

typical middendorf and a show full of fighters who are whores and have no loyalty i can already tell you that unless this show has some serious sponsorship and sell out numbers that were talkin significant losses and talk of future shows are probably just talk

I don't remember taking it off. Send it again and see what happens. It was not intentional if I did.

From 1stround KO:

The economy or poor management seems to have taken its toll on the professional boxing promoters in the area. Ballroom Boxing and Baltimore Pro Bouts are now doing amateur shows. Bang Time seems to be the one strong company doing shows, but they do MMA and that seems to be their focus and they do not do that many shows. Therefore it seems like now is the perfect time for a new promotion company that is exclusively devoted to boxing to start doing business. It seems like Vidda cannot be much of a boxing fan otherwise he would be supportive of a new company and new shows.
