I've covered the Boxing scene in the Washington, DC/Baltimore area for 36 years. I was inducted into the Washington, DC Boxing Hall of Fame in November, 2009. I am also a feature writer for Fightnews.com. I was the play-by-play announcer on the TV series "Boxing Spotlight" which highlighted pro boxing along the Beltway. Great bout, with both boxers having their punching moments. Dontre King much better than his record. Todd Wilson came back and showed heart. Hope they have a rematch at six rounds.
Wilson looked outta shape maybe he took king for granted
Wilson was sick, he didn't look great but came back strong. Digital what did you think about wilsons performance?
I thought he showed a lot of heart. That was a funny (although legitimate according to Wilson) knockdown in the second. I originally thought King accidently hit Wilson with his knee as they were tangled.
Wilson told Jerome and I afterwards that he had been on antibiotics all week, but I thought he fought well, given the circumstances. To get the knockdown in the fourth round showed a lot.
