A rematch of one of the best bouts of 2007 will be a co-feature contest on the next Baltimore Pro Boxing card on Saturday, July 25 at Du Burns Arena in Baltimore.
Baltimore welterweight Tim "Pit Bull" Coleman will take on "Magnificent" Martinus Clay of Wilson, NC in an eight-round matchup. The two first met on December 7, 2007 in Pikesville, MD and fought to an exciting 10-round draw. Going into that bout, Coleman (15-1-1, four KO's) was one of the busiest boxers in the country with the Clay bout being the ninth time he fought in 2007. Since that bout, however, Coleman has only fought twice -- losing a 10-round unanimous decision to James De La Rosa on October 3, 2008 in Salisbury, MD and stopping Carlos Cisneros in the third round on April 10 at Du Burns Arena.
Clay (13-20-4, five KO's) has fought four times since the Coleman bout, defeating Shawn Purdy by third-round TKO in July of 2008 in Philadelphia, drawing with Mustapha Johnson in March of last year and losing bouts to Kassim Ouma and Kaseem Wilson.
The card is also scheduled to feature undefeated Beltway prospects James "Keep 'Em Sleepin" Stevenson, Cecil McCalla, Seth "Mayhem" Mitchell and Steve "Show Stealer" Wheeler.
