I'm getting some results from the National Silver Gloves in Independence, MO. According to reporter Bobby Breen, both Alantez Fox and Dusty Harrison lost their opening bouts in the tournament.
UPDATE: Zimmie Dickinson defeated Daniel Guzman in his bout at the 10/11 65 pound division. The footage is shown here:
It has been VERY difficult getting information from this tournament. I may not get a full report until after the tournament is over.

i like to know how in the hell is zimmie still fighting 10 -11 if he fought 1 of my fighters a few yrs ago and they were the same age my kid is now 12 yrs old ,and i know fox alantez is not 14-15 i got kids that fought these kids in the past and they were the same ages then and not now, that is weird
Gary, It seemed that there is a tremendous interest in the beltway amateurs, as there should be. Both coaches and boxers post quite a lot.I think it would be a good idea to have a designated coach or team manager call you with the results after each night of boxing. It would tak only a couple minutes.
Zimmie is still 10 years old actually until next week, so if they are the same age, I'm guessing the boxer you are talking about recently turned 12. Zimmie has been in the gym since he was 7 and competing since he was a few days past his 8th birthday, so a lot of people think he's older than he is.
Tez is 15 years old right now. At a little over 6'1" and with well over a hundred bouts, it seems like he is older too. He's been to the National Silver Gloves 5 times but this was his last.
In shows you have a 24 month window. I know it is a hard pill to swallow when you find out your older boxer loses to a younger boxer. If the National Silver Gloves believes the age verification, so should anonymous. Kids do get disqualified for age verification, but Zimmie nor Fox did. A lot of recently open boxers have crossed paths with Tez. In 2009 they will again. As for Zimmie, five more years in the Silvers. Good luck in the 12-13 division and just be glad Zimmie isn't there.
The people who run both Potomac Valley and South Atlantic have my contact info. They know how to get a hold of me.
Fortunately KD has been good enough to send me information
its funny how zimmie fought 1 of my kids 3 yrs ago and zimmie had fights then , and just last yr in the worlds zimmie fought at 9-10 novice division and u and me know zimmie was not novice all u are teaching your kid is 2 cheat his way thru life and dont commit because u know iam telling u the truth, zimmie had well over 10 fights at 2007 ringside worlds and i can prove i happen 2 live in dc
4 all of your info zimmie fights all stiffs and zimmie is 15 yrs old going on 10, the last time i saw zimmie get wopped was at ray leonards gym a couple yrs ago by that little spanish boy hu put him on his but a couple times
i saw the fox fight and i felt bad cause fox beat the crap out of pedro sosa keep your head up kid cause u clearly won that fight beautifl boxing skills
Come on people!! Can't we just be supportive of these young boxers!! I guess it should be taken as a compliment that Mr. A. Nonymous follows Zimmie's career so closely, but I'm sorry to tell you that 3 years ago Zimmie was 7 years old, just turning eight and had no hardly any bouts. He and Mac Allison boxed about 4 times because there weren't any other little guys around. He also boxed teammates and shows to get experience.
As for the 2007 Ringside World Championships, he definitely boxed OPEN not NOVICE. Unlike many here who talk about proof of this and proof of that - I will let the BATB readers see for themselves. The results are here and you can clearly see he was the Open Champion and he only competed in the RWC one year. The link is here: http://www.amateurboxing.com/2007ringside.htm
Again, people - we have a lot of young talent in the DC area. Let's just support amateur boxing programs and support these guys.
WOW! I came on this site to check up on my nephew and much to my surprise I find a bunch of people hating on him! Craziness!
Since you care enough to post on this site (or at least read what others post) then you are all clearly boxing fans. So what I can't understand is why you'd rather tear down a CHILD than praise true talent when you see it. Zimmie has been training HARD since he was 7 years old and it's not fair for people to try and act like he's doing something wrong because his training has paid off.
So relax...he's not cheating....he's not lying about his age...he's just GOOD. I guess it's time for him to learn how much people HATE on you when you're at the top. So sad...
And for all those who aren't convinced that he is indeed talented, send your 10/11 year olds to come see him because unlike some people, he won't turn down a fight just to make his record look better.
Nobody is hatin on Zimmy. His father post so much stuff on here about his wins, his you tube fights, next he will be putting school grades on here. We have to discuss him, his father leaves us no choice. You dont see Jordan White's people posting things about him on here, even though Jordan White beat the brakes off Zimmy up Baltimore. Yeah look at that match on Youtube. Anyway Pops, settle down some, we know you love your kid but you are getting alittle out of hand here.
Let Zimmy spar Darryl Little and post that on youtube. They are the same age. take a chill pill...
HB4Life, that's funny. Darryl is 12 and 80lbs. Zimmie is 10 and 65lbs. I put all the fights I get on youtube win, lose or draw. This is the age of internet, right?
I send Gary info on all the beltway boxers since nobody else wants to big up these kids - who you think told him about Darryl's victory this weekend? If I "settle down", who's going to big up the kids?
Nobody's complaining that everybody get's to see their fight online.
Sorry, I made a mistake. Darryl is 14.
alantez fox fought a kid of mine at the 2004 national silver gloves when they held the bouts in the mall inside the Old Navy. He fought my kid in the intermediate 12-13 age bracket. Do the math, if he fought as a 12 tear old in 2004 that would make him 13 in 2005 14 in 2006 15 in 2007 and uh oh 16 in 2008. The math doesn't work out. Either he fought up an age bracket in 2004 or he is 16 years old. If he is 16 shame on you.
I dont know who is using hb4life as a profile but that comment did not come from headbangers gym we dont post no comments about who's gym the best and who's not we dont do that Zimmie is a good little fighter we wish him the best at what he is doing.
Tez will be 16 soon in 2008, so your math is right. You do realize that he has 10 more months to turn 16 and still be in 2008, right? Silver Gloves goes by your age as of Jan. 1 I believe and Tez is still 15. To my knowledge it's pretty hard to cheat the system. This year at the East Coast Regionals, a kid got caught because he fought in the same bracket 3 years in a row. He was the correct age but apparently competed the first year a year too early. Anyhow, my point is that coaches know how old kids are because most of the kids have been around for a while. It would be pretty much impossible to fool every coach at the same time. Believe me, that someone would point out anything that didn't seem right.
BOOGIE- we know that any joker can post anything on here that they want and we don't take that crap seriuosly. SORRY TO SAY TO ALL THE HATERS THAT THE TRUTH IS WHILE YOU ALL TRY TO STIR UP CRAP BETWEEN RAYS, HEADBANGERS AND OTHER GYMS- THESE GYMS WORK TOGETHER TO GET THE KIDS PREPARED AND WHEN WE GO OUT OF TOWN WE REPRESENT DC WELL!! IT'S BECAUSE WE BOTH HAVE GREAT YOUNG BOXERS AND WE ARENT WITH ALL THIS PETTY BS. THE KIDS IN BOTH GYMS GIVE OUT SOME OF T HE BEST WORK IN THE US. WE BROUGHT BACK 5 NATIONAL CHAMPS BETWEEN THE TWO GYMS ALONE. Stop trying to divide everybody. IT JUST WONT WORK!!!! THESE ARE JUST KIDS PEOPLE. EIGHT TO FIFTEEN. I DONT KNOW ABOUT YOU ALL BUT I DIDNT HAVE NEARLY AS MUCH ACCOMPLISHED OR WORK AS HARD AS THESE KIDS DO WHEN I WAS THEIR AGE. RESPECT THAT.
Intials JW we ain't stupid.
JW JW JW JW JW JW JW JW
I thought so-he gone and he hatin*
