Baltimore, MD heavyweight Bernard "Bad Ass" Brown will try to bounce back from last month's loss to Dana Dunston tonight in Carneys Point, NJ when he faces off against Mark "Oak Tree" Brown of Salem, NJ in a scheduled eight-round contest.
Brown (5-2-2, three KO's) lost a four-round split decision to Dunston on December 15 in Dulles, VA. Mark Brown (10-1, four KO's) will come into the bout riding a three-bout winning streak. Neither boxer has gone the eight-round distance.
Also on this card is DC super middleweight Jessie Horton (0-2) who will be looking for his first win as he faces the debuting "Dazzling" Desmond Bolden of Salem, NJ in a four-round contest.
And there will be an interesting battle between two non-Beltway Boxers who have made appearances in the Beltway area. Wilmington, DE light heavyweight Reuel Williams will take on Philadelphia's Zefferino Albino in a six-round battle. Williams (5-1, two KO's) holds stoppage victories over Beltway Boxers Nick Caroleo and Henry Mayes. Albino (3-3, one KO) lost to Alexander Johnson by four-round decision last November at Rosecroft Raceway.

Gary- What can we do to start getting these forty year olds that can't or should not be fighting to stop wasting our time, your page space, and slots that can be used for young guys who are really training and working to build real careers. Instead we have guys like Brown, fat and horrible to watch, that you waste time writing about. Maybe your goal is to be completely democratic, but I would rather have more in depth coverage of the amateurs, or more coverage from other parts of the tri state area.
If bernard Brown or that McGourry guy from Michaels want to continue fighting, lets tell them to go buy some boxing video games and leave their reliving of their young adulthoods to their own midnight fantasies.
BTW- Brwon was dq'd in the first. He is pathetic.

Bernard was hit on the break by Mark Brown twice and basically got pissed off and took Mark Brown to the canvas. They had to be separated by security. Up to that point I thought it was a good fight. I saw nothing 'pathetic' in Bernard's performace.
I was working in Bernard's corner, so I MAY be biased.

Again, at this stage I don't have the time to cover the amateurs like I and others would want. I've been covering pros for 20 years and I enjoy that! Bernard just recently came back onto the scene and I try to at least give some mention when a Beltway pro is fighting.
When the amateur folk start learning to give me more info about their bouts and who's on them, I can give more. Because of my limited time, I can't get to every show.
I should just shut the hell up!

Second, my advice to you is to show some class. If you have personal issues with Bernard and Asim, take them up with them and leave them off of here.
You showed no class with the cursing and such. You won the bout. Let the matter go!

Don't act like Oak Tree is all that because he's a BUM! He got knocked cold by that stiff Joey Abell with a dubious punch! If you don't believe me, the video is on the net. I've seen it but can't find the link. Oak Tree is TERRIBLE and yeah, Bernard Brown is fat! And if that really is Brown's Manager using language like that then Digital is right, you have no class!

Seth Mitchell really won that fight and he was told not to knock Bo out because that was the promise made so Bo would take the fight in the first place. Mark my words Seth Mitchell will be the heavy weight champ of the world before 2010. He has the power and the speed, he is the total package. Bo refuses to fight hinm again and I do not blame him. Seth is a one man army. All the bid promotors are trying to sign him right now. He is the real deal!!!
