ESPN.com is reporting that the undefeated Peterson Brothers will kick off the 2008 season of ShoBox telecasts on Friday, January 4 at the Hard Rock in Biloxi, MS. According to promoter Brian Young, Anthony and Lamont Peterson will participate in 12-round contests against opponents to be named.
Since these are 12-round contests, it is assumed that the brothers will either defend their NABO titles (Anthony-lightweight, Lamont-junior welterweight) on this show or go after more regional titles. I don't think a world title is in the offering yet.
If that changes, I will definitely let everyone know.

hey gary thanks for keeping us updated, they will get titles in 08!!! also gary did you get the names of the beltway youngsters that will be fighting in the silvergloves next friday? they moved it down bmore now and i heard that delawar and hagerstown will be joining our region this yr, that should make for some interesting matches this yr!! also is antonio magruder returning this yr, i no he won 3yrs in a row,is he to old?? hes the only one i seen that looks like dominic and lil gary out of our youngsters!!!! could you give me some feed back on that G?
Gary I am a personal friend of Bobby Magruder's and was with him in 1969-1970 at Hillcrest Heights Boys club. I was a light middle weight on the team then. Silver Gloves has not been moved!
The Silver Gloves are at Ray's Gym on Dec. 14th. and 15th. I spoke with Juice yesterday.

According to the fliers I've received, the Silver Gloves will be at Upton Center in Baltimore on December 8.
It could possibly be that the second part of the Gloves may be at SRL the following weekend, but Juice's flier did not say so.
The Silver Gloves will be on both friday the 7th and saturday the 8th at Upton. SRL must be having another round the following weekend.
