If his weight is any indication, it looks like former world heavyweight champion Hasim "The Rock" Rahman is working hard to make a serious run at another world title.
The Baltimore, MD native weighed in at 240 pounds for his bout against Cerrone Fox tonight at the Kewadin Casino in Sault Ste Marie, MI. The weight is very significant considering Rahman weighed 261 against Taurus Sykes on June 14 and 250 against Dicky Ryan on September 7.
On the surface, however, the bout looks like nothing more than a tuneup for Rahman. Fox, a native of Benton Harbor, MI, has only had 14 pro fights and has a record of 8-6, eight KO's. Fox was stopped in the second round by David Tua on the same Sept. 7 card that Rahman was on in Mount Pleasant, MI.
