With five cards still remaining in May, it's amazing that we can look towards June and see even more Beltway Boxing action. But three pro cards are already on the books for June with more cards promised.
On Saturday, June 9, Han Kim's SugarHan Productions is having what amounts to a day-night, pro-am doubleheader at the ABC Sports Complex in Springfield, VA.. At 3:30 PM, there will be an amateur card that will feature Virginia boxers taking on Maryland boxers. Then at 8 PM, there will be a pro card that is scheduled to feature Demetrius Davis, "Money" Mike Sawyer and rookie Edgar "The Tiger" Torres. The main event on the card will be a 10-round bout between Hackensack, NJ cruiserweight Bobby Gunn -- who was born in Virginia -- and Antoine Barrett of Paterson, NJ. Gunn has a record of 16-3, 13 KO's while Barrett is 13-8-1, seven KO's.
One week later, on Saturday, June 16, Joe Hensley's Major League Boxing will have a show in Fredricksburg, VA. A number of Virginia boxers are scheduled to participate on this card including "Cold Blood" Patrick Budd, Adam "The Real Deal" Seal, Terry "T-Brick" Roy and "War Time" George Rivera. Hensley says he's looking to make a bout between "JC Superstar" Juan Carlos Robles and William "The Storm" Bailey for this card.
Then the following Saturday -- June 23 -- Cassandra White's Babie Girl Productions is having a show at Howard University's Burr Gymnasium. Clarence "Untouchable" Vinson is slated to be on this show and this card is also scheduled to have a special appearance by the Camacho Family -- Hector Sr. and Jr.
More cards are in the works for June, so it looks like the summer will pick up where the spring left off.

Marty Wynn has nothing to do with Cassandra White or any card that she is trying to promote at Howard. Period.
I heard Marty is shacked up with this Cassandra White.
In all honesty, I don't exactly know what the deal is with this. If you go on Cassandra's website, www.babiegirlproduction.com., the card is there.
I will continue to try to get an interview with Cassandra concerning this.

It looks like Camacho SR wont be on the card now. According to fightnews he got went to prison today and is facing 7 years.
Judge sends Camacho to jail!
Former world champion Hector "Macho" Camacho was sent to jail today after pleading guilty to the 2004 break-in of a Gulfport, Mississippi computer store. Camacho admitted to breaking into the store to retrieve his laptop, which was being serviced at the time. According to the Biloxi Sun Herald, the "Macho Man" was ordered straight to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center by Circuit Judge Steve Simpson bacause of a complaint against Camacho by a local bail bondsman. Camacho is facing a sentence of up to seven years in prison.

I have met with Miss Casandra White for lunch earlier today.
I spoke with her in great detail concerning past and future shows.
The negative comments need to stop yesterday. She is trying hard to bring boxing back to the Nations Capital. She has learned from her mistakes concerning her last show.
She has made good on all but three bad checks and promises to make good on those too right after her next show. Please give the lady a chance! She will not repeat her mistakes again. Marion Barry is standing by her on this and he would not do so if he thought that she would write another bad check.
The lady has been through enough and we all need to forgive and forget. Most of the stories are not true. She is a lady with pride. She did not sleep with Marion Barry,Mart Wynn,or any other big shot to get where she is at. She earned it by pure hard work. Those boxers from her last show will get paid, I promise. Just give it some time and stop kicking her when she is down. It's not like none of us have never written a bad check or two. I was not done on purpose! It will never happen again. I suggest that we all help her out on this one and let's see how things turn out.

I would like to thank everyone for coming out to all of my shows pass and future. I really need to address the person who spends all of there time hating on me. I can only surmise that they have never known a strong black women who has worked hard since she was ten years old and dont regret it for one minute it made me who I am today, strong, independent and determined not to let anyone destroy her spirit. I may not be the richest or the smartest person in business but I am successful in every way that makes me happy.
So in closing the person who thank they know me or know about my business I hope you have the courage to come to my show and meet me face to face and explain to me why you would rather be negative instead of positive but I doubt if you have the balls.
If any venue or any boxer, staff or vendor who was not paid I would not been able to go forward with my show which was held in June 07.
Also I do not know Marty Wynn and never met him. I have had several other promoters ,in Panama, Puerto Rico and Florida who have expressed the interest in working with me and I feel very honored.
