Interesting find here. DC-based award-winning rapper Wale has just released a new EP called "Self Promotion." One of the songs on the EP is a tune called "Negotiations" and the music video for the song features three prominent Beltway Boxing people and an equally-prominent location.
IBF/WBA/IBO Super Welterweight champion "Swift" Jarrett Hurd is seen in a boxing session with undefeated welterweight contender Dusty Hernandez Harrison. Also seen briefly in the video is Harrison's father, Buddy. A good portion of the video was filmed at Buddy Harrison's gym, Old School Boxing in Fort Washington, MD. The video was directed by Chris Hernandez.
Wale has been a long-time supporter of the Beltway Boxing scene and he had a cousin, Abodunrin "Big Bo" Akinyanju, who was a heavyweight from 2009-2012. Akinyanju passed away in 2012 in a tragic truck accident.
