According to Rocky Morales of Fightnews.com, Giyasov, a 2016 Olympic silver medalist, was the busier boxer but Taylor did have him wobbled a couple of times forcing Giyasov to hang on. Taylor tried to trade with Giyasov in the later rounds but gave up too much early. Taylor lost by scores of 99-91 (twice) and 97-93. With the win, Giyasov earns the WBA International Super Lightweight title. Taylor's record falls to 20-6, 14 KO's while Giyasov remains undefeated at 8-0, six KO's.
