The Cynation Sports promotions card that will take place on Saturday, September 29th at Rosecroft Raceway in Fort Washington, MD will feature a number of bouts pitting Beltway Boxers against one another.
In a six-round middleweight bout, "The Cisco Kid" Francisco Bustos of Rockville, MD will risk his undefeated record when he faces "Dangerous" Donald Wallace of Baltimore, MD. Bustos (8-0, five KO's) comes off back-to-back wins over Jauvan John. On June 16, Bustos won a four-round unanimous decision at the Gardens Ice House in Laurel, MD. Then on August 18th, Bustos needed just 45 seconds to knock out John at Live! Casino in Hanover, MD.
Wallace (3-1-1, two KO's) also fought on the August 18th card at Live! Casino and scored a tough sixth-round TKO over Ashton Sykes in one of the best Beltway bouts of 2018.
In another six-round contest, "The Red Comet" Dante Cox of Elkridge, MD will take on Mack "Papi" Allison IV of Baltimore in a lightweight showdown. Cox (3-0, two KO's) battled in front of friends and co-workers in his last outing on the August 18th Live! Casino card and scored a third-round TKO over Javon Webb. Cox is a bartender at a restaurant in the Casino. Allison (8-1-1, seven KO's) bounced back from suffering his first pro loss by winning a six-round unanimous decision over Rynell Griffin on August 4th in Sterling, VA.
In a bout scheduled for six rounds at super middleweight, District Heights, MD super middleweight Jason Bell will compete in his first six-rounder when he battles Genc Pllana of Hagerstown, MD. Bell (3-0, one KO) last fought on October 14th and won a four-round unanimous decision over Alan Stevenson in Springfield, VA. This will also be the first six-round contest for Pllana (1-0, one KO) who won his pro debut on October 19th in Washington, DC and knocked out Dameron Kirby in the first round. Pllana is trained by Beltway Boxing Legend and three-time world champion Simon Brown.
Bell's twin brother, Justin (3-0, two KO's) will also be in a six-round super middleweight contest as he battles Eric Moon of Marietta, GA. Justin Bell also fought on the October 14th card in Springfield and scored a second-round TKO over Ben D. Williams. Moon (8-1, six KO's) last fought on August 10th and won an eight-round unanimous decision over Christopher Brooker in Philadelphia, PA.
In other bouts on the card, Hagerstown super welterweight Jonathan Burrs looks for his first victory when he battles Bryant Costello of Humacao, Puerto Rico in a four-round contest. Burrs (0-1) lost his pro debut by four-round unanimous decision on August 10th in Philadelphia, PA. Costello's pro debut on August 11th in Salisbury, NC against David Ricardo Perez ended in a no-contest due to an unintentional foul.
Heavyweight Nathan Copeland of Capitol Heights, MD will make his pro debut against Ricco Ralston of Tennessee (0-0-1) and Newport News, VA heavyweight Jerry "Slug" Forrest (20-2, 16 KO's) will be in a six-round bout against Danyelle "Southern Boy" Williams of Owatonna, MN by way of Alabama (3-1, one KO). In his last outings, Forrest scored two straight knockout victories over Miree Coleman. The first victory, a second-round stoppage on April 14th in Norfolk, VA, earned Forrest the UBF All-Americas Heavyweight title. Coleman got his rematch on the August 4th card in Sterling and was stopped in the third round.
Williams (3-1, one KO) has fought his last three bouts at the Grand Casino in Hinckley, MN, winning two of the contests. In his last outing, Williams won by fourth-round unanimous decision over Van Goodman on March 9th.
