Gary Antuanne Russell has advanced to the quarterfinals of the Olympics in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.
Russell won a tough split decision over Wuttachai Masuk of Thailand moments ago in the light welterweight division. Russell needs one more victory to earn a medal and he will compete in the semifinals against Fazliddin Gaibnazarov of Uzbekistan on Tuesday, August 16 at 12:15 PM.
