June 11 Card Update!

There are a few updates to the Ponytail Promotions/Sho Nuff Promotions card that will take place on Saturday, June 11 at the ABC Sports Complex in Springfield, VA.

The opponent for undefeated Leesburg, VA lightweight Eric "El Torito" Hernandez has changed.  Hernandez (7-0, four KO's) will now face off with Dustin Caplinger of Akron, OH in a six-round contest.  Caplinger (2-7, one KO) last fought on April 9 at the ABC Sports Complex and lost by fourth-round TKO to Yurii Polischuk.

Washington, DC welterweight Matthew Abregu returns to action in a four-round contest against Andrew Moreno of Mishawaka, IN. Abregu (2-0, two KO's) has had two first-round knockouts including his last bout against Arthur McCrow on March 5 in Norfolk, VA.  Moreno (0-3) has not fought since August of 2013 when he lost by first-round TKO to Alberto Machado in Rochester, NY.

Baltimore, MD super middleweight Stephon "The Surgeon" Morris will take on David "Rock Steady" Rohn of Villa Park, IL in a four-round matchup.  Morris (2-0, two KO's) last fought on May 14 and scored a third-round TKO over Brian Stevens in Timonium, MD.  Rohn (0-5-1) will try to break a four-bout losing streak including a first-round knockout loss to Jeff McCalla on September 26 in Norfolk, VA.

Also on the card, Newport News, VA heavyweight Jerry "Slug" Forrest returns to action in a six-round bout against veteran Daniel Shull of Winchester, VA.  Forrest (11-2, 10 KO's) has won four straight bouts -- all by knockout -- since his last loss in June of 2014.  Forrest is coming off a second-round knockout over Richard Carmack on March 20 in Rahway, NJ.  Shull (3-31-1, one KO) last fought on April 9 at the ABC Complex and lost by six-round unanimous decision to Nick Kisner.  Shull will be looking to break a 16-bout losing streak.

The main event for this card remains the same -- Alexandru "Spartan" Marin of Silver Spring, MD (11-0, eight KO's) battles Johnny "The Law" Determan of Dallas, TX (10-1, eight KO's) in a 10-round contest for the vacant IBO International Bantamweight championship.
