Undefeated Accokeek, MD super welterweight "Swift" Jarrett Hurd returns to action on Friday, August 14 when he faces fellow undefeated boxer Jeff Lentz of Lanoka Harbor, NJ in an eight-round contest at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.
Hurd (15-0, nine KO's) is coming off a third-round TKO over Eric Mitchell on April 18 in Valley Forge, PA. Hurd has scored knockouts in three of his last four contests.
Despite having only five previous pro bouts, Lentz (5-0, one KO) moves into an eight-round contest for the first time in his career. Lentz scored two quality six-round unanimous decision victories over Fred Jenkins, Jr. and Tim Witherspoon, Jr. in his last two outings.
This bout will be on the undercard of the Antonio Tarver-Steve Cunningham contest that will be televised on Spike TV. No word on whether the Hurd-Lentz bout will be televised.
