The main event on the card will feature undefeated Fort Washington, MD super bantamweight "Monster" Marq Johns will take on Karl Garcia of Miami, FL by way of Bayamon, Puerto Rico in a six-round contest.
Johns (6-0-1, five KO's) is coming off a third-round knockout victory over Bryan Perez-Navarez at the last Sphinx Club card on March 14. Garcia (4-5-1, one KO) lost a four-round unanimous decision to Rafael Espinoza on May 30 in Hollywood, CA.
Garcia will face an undefeated opponent for the seventh straight contest and the ninth time in his career. One of those undefeated boxers Garcia faced was Beltway Boxer Kevin Rivers, Jr. who stopped Garcia in the sixth round on October 24.
The card will also feature something that hasn't happened in DC in almost three years -- two brothers competing on the same card. The "Twin Towers" of the Beltway -- Alantez "SlyAza" Fox and Myke "The Professor" Fox -- will both compete on the card. Older brother, 6'5" Alantez (15-0-1, five KO's) last fought on April 17 and scored a second-round TKO over Franklin Gonzalez on April 17 in Uncasville, CT. 6'3" Mykal (6-0, two KO's) fought on the March 14 Sphinx Club card and stopped Thomas Deleon in the first round.
The last time two brothers competed on the same card was when Harold and Joshua Parker competed at the Washington Convention Center in August of 2012.
Also scheduled to be on this card are Renaldo "Misunderstood" Gaines, Albi "The Golden Goat" Sadikaj, Patrick Harris, Devar "The Warrior" Ferhadi, Chris "The Rock" Warden and the debuting Shynggyskhan Tazhibay.
