"Monster" Marq Johns of Fort Washington, MD has won an early candidate for 2015 Bout Of The Year, defeating a very game Jaxel Marrero by four-round unanimous decision.
Marrero initiated the action in the first round, landing some solid right hands. Johns came back in the second using a strong left jab to set up his vicious overhand right. Eventually, Marrero's left eye started to close. Marrero lost two points for holding and lost by identical scores of 39-35. Johns is now 5-0-1, four KO's. Marrero is 1-4-1.
