Reed will be making his biggest pay day thus far. They are looking to match him with another 21 year old who Reed will def out-box him. JOSE BENAVIDEZ JR. (16-0, 13 KOs)

Benavidez is actually 19-0 with 14 ko's. He hasn't been at 140 since 2011. I highly doubt he would go back down now for Mike Reed

Well deserved.

Jose Benavidez JR would EAT Reed's, BREAKFAST, LUNCH, and Dinner! Benavidez is pure boxer that has one of THE best Jabs in boxing, Power, and doesn't waste punches! This wouldn't make sense to put Reed in with him Right now! Besides, Top Rank is breeding Benavidez slowly to replace Manny as their Cash Cow.

Benavidez does however need a 10-12 Round fight with an Top 20 boxer. They're going to ruin him if they keep feeding him up and coming boxers, Old guys, and no body having talent. He doesn't look as good as he once did with Roach either, so that's why the fights are fought. His current Trainer Sucks!!! Benavidez fought tall and not hunched over when he fought out of the Wildcard. He doesn't appear to be as in shape as he once was either. Looks like he has a DRINKING PROBLEM! Reed Could take him! He almost got KO'd by a no body almost two years go (granted he did fight with one hand). Point is, his TRAINER is a BUM trainer that is wasting talent!

Google'd the Jose Benavidez, Jr kid and it looks like he's fighting in his home state: http://www.boxingscene.com/jose-benavidez-oscar-valdez-double-play-7-26--78141

Also, seen him hold his own against Manny Pacquiao, Amir Kahn, and Shawn Porter
