Earlier this week, WBC International Heavyweight champ Seth "Mayhem" Mitchell held a media night at Dream Team boxing gym in Clinton, MD where he worked out and talked about his bout against Chris Arreola on Saturday, September 7 at the Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, CA.
If voice quality is an indication of how focused a boxer can be, then Mitchell (26-1-1, 19 KO's) is a very focused man at this point. There seemed to be more of an edge to his comments than usual.
We bring you two bits of Mitchell sound here: First a brief one-on-one with BATB followed by Juan Marshall of ProAm Fight Talk carrying the rest of the press conference.
We also have an interview with Mitchell's manager, Sharif Salim:
September 7 is also a big day inside the Beltway with the Keystone Boxing "Rumble at Rosecroft" taking place at Rosecroft Raceway in Fort Washington, MD. One of the key people involved on that card also trains at Dream Team gym. Undefeated Waldorf, MD junior welterweight Mike "Yes, Indeed" Reed spoke with us about his six-round encounter with Rameses Gil.
