A number of boxers from the Beltway region won titles at the recent Ringside Boxing tournament in Kansas City, MO. Here are some results:
11-12 division, 75 Pounds, Novice: Maximus Garland, Waldorf, MD won over Romelio Orozco, Longmount, CO
9-10 division, 65 Pounds, Open: Tyreek Williams, Oxon Hill, MD over Quran Banks, Columbus, OH
15-16, division, 165 Pounds, Open: Kashif Muhammad Brown, Jr., Upper Marlboro, MD over Joshua Gardner, Moore, OK
Also, Jerrod Bowling of Washington, DC (unattached) won the 178 Pounds Open title.
Ringside results were very hard to understand during the week and there may be some local champions that I did not receive. Please post if any others from the Baltimore area or Northern Virginia won titles.
