Harrison February 23 Bout Moved to Mississippi!

Undefeated DC welterweight Dusty Harrison will now fight in Tunica, MS on Saturday, February 23 instead of Atlantic City, NJ.  Harrison's bout will take place at Resorts Casino and Hotel in Tunica and will reunite the Harrison camp with their original management group, Prize Fight who is promoting the card.

Harrison (12-0, eight KO's) will be in a six-round contest against Aaron Anderson of Knoxville, TN (2-19, one KO). Anderson will try to break a nine-bout losing streak.

I don't understand why dusty continues to fight those kind of fighters. He is good enough to step up his competition to at least fighters with a 500 record.

And he is the DMV champ, what a joke.

It's just not fair! Why does he get to go out of town and make money by fighting easy fights. I thought Keystone was done with him.
Im not hating on him, I just want to understand how he gets to fight where ever and when ever he pleases??? He just fought in Deleaware and now he's fighting again 2 weeks later in Atlantic City. Plus fighting a bumb!

He is not fighting in Atlantic City. As the post states, he will now be battling in Mississippi.

Harrison is no longer fighting on Keystone's card because of a Md. issue. He has signed with an advisor by the name of Jeff Fried. From what I gather, a major player in thw world of boxing. That's exactly why he is able to fight on any card against who he chooses. Actually, they are being extremely smart with the 18 year old who could someday be a super-star himself. I see the negative comments, but the truth of the matter is, all boxers and I mean all wish they had a Jeff Fried or an Al Haymon behind them. In fact, Rashaun Warren a 3 time olympian who is signed with Al Haymon fought on HBO this past weekend with a guy who was 0-6. That is the stuff that goes on when you have powerful people behind you. Yes Harrison does have an advantage in the boxing game, but like I previously stated, all boxers wish they had such muscle backing thier every move. You can hate on the young man if you like, but one must admit, they are doing what all others dream about.

MD wouldn't approve fighters like this and Keystone moved to Maryland . Del, MS, DC, WV, will approve his guys.

I have to say, look at JC Chavez Jr. and Saul Alvarez's first 15 fights and look where they are now. They are being smart with Dusty, remember he's only 18 years old so there is no rush. Keep it up Buddy and Dusty and look forward to reuniting with you guys soon, but not soon enough.

PS...you know who it is

Some people are hating, others like me just don't understand why does he not step up the level of competition to at least .500 level fighters. On the long run, it may end up hurting him. Fighting those kind of fighters at the beginning is understood but after 12 professional fights, I don't get it. He is very talented and I wish dusty success, which I believe he woulda get it. Hope he would step up a lil competition, not always fighting guys with a record like 2-19, it does him no good in boxing, only puts easy money in his pocket and that is good for him.

Everyone wanted to rush JC Chavez Jr. and Saul Alvarez's career too, but guess what...their management was smart and knew when the time was to turn it up and guess what...thats exactly what Dusty's management is doing right now too. Everything good in life comes with a little patience. He's not trying to be the youngest welterweight world champion in history damn! Alot of you people on here just want to see him rushed in the game and take a chance at getting a loss so you can say "told ya so". Guess what...aint gonna happen.

Keep it up Buddy and Dusty, miss you guys!

Dusty Hernandez Harrison is a fighter, but more importantly, he is a business man. If you notice, every move that "Team Dusty" makes, he puts more money in his pockets and more asses in seats.

He has local rappers like Shy Glizzy and Lightshow not only attending his fights, but rapping and escorting him to the damn ring. Because of that, ticket sales went up tremendously. Walk in any local barber shop or shopping mall and you are guaranteed to see somebody wearing a shirt with Dusty's picture posted on the front of it. Considering his age (18) he is the most known boxer in the USA. It's no secret that he now has Big Wig Jeff Fried on his team. If you know of Fried & Co., you know that everything they touch, turns to gold. In other words, if these so called haters on this blog were that smart, it would be them driving the Bentley, not Jeff Fried. I suggest that Team Dusty keep doing what you are doing, build the kid right, be careful, let him learn on the job. Your day will come!!!

Jeff fried is far from a major player in boxing

Being Mean to Fat People Is Pointless: A Good Old-Fashioned Plea for Civility
"Obesity will crush the United States into oblivion." That's the final line of the trailer for HBO's upcoming fatpocalypse documentary Weight of the Nation (which, as far as I can tell, was directed by Roland Emmerich and ends with Will Smith blowing up the fat-people mothership with a nuclear warhead). That's right, you guys. The fat people are coming. To crush the entire nation. Into oblivioooooooooon. This is why we can't have nice nations.

5-5 fat bald guy, how did it put my foot in my mouth? I am far from a major matchmaker,

Brian was more likely to be bullied than their normal-weight peers, a new study has found.
No one who has attended grade school -- or who has even the slightest familiarity with children -- will be surprised by these findings. What is surprising, however, is that obese children are bullied more often even if they possess qualities that can discourage bullies, such as having good social skills or doing well in boxing. No matter how good your social skills, if you were overweight or obese you were more likely to be bullied.

There was one guy who tried to bully me, didn't go we'll for him,

So compare dusty to canelo and Chavez jr took them 30 plus fights to get title shot and known big time dusty don't need 30 wars especially if its not moving his rank up to a title just adding up fights that's cool I respect him as a fighter and him winning and all but you gotta beat somebody to become a champion and no one he's fought is even close to being a top ranked oppent 12-0 time to step up the competion not go back to fighting graveyard fighters its time to make a name for yourself beating better competition. Make a good name for yourelf your fans are waiting

Yea these guys had no amateur experience but Dusty do. I am for building records but at this point this dont make any sense until he fight for a real belt and get KO'd in the first round and you wonder why. Does that make SENSE GARY

Anonymous said...

dont matter, business is business and if not dont make money then it dont make sense. They are managing this kid for the long haul, not to please a bunch of idiots on this blog who don't know shit about the business of boxing. Boxing is a business but just because you know one, don't mean you know the other. Yes Dusty had a good amateur career but guess what...the pros is another game, and its not just boxing at the pro level, it is a business. The problem is, most idiots on this board can't comprehend that. The kid is 18 years old and the important thing now is to just rack up the W's, it don't matter from who this early in the game.

Anonymous said...

it would not matter what any of us say or think, dusty is just going to his thing and make bank. why would he risk fighting a killer when he gets paid regardless. i could see you alls point if he was 24 25 26 but 18, none of use make sense. he just got a contract with radio shack, he aint gonna ruin that.

Anonymous said...

Big Damn Deal! It's a Radio Shack Battery Advertisment. Who use them anyway???

Anonymous said...

This one looks pretty bad on paper, but hey the kid is only 18 and the fight is on super short notice. Dusty will be stepping up his competition as the year goes on.

Harrison is not eighteen.
He is like the rest of the phonies from DC.and Maryland who go through the Junior Olympics with a trumped up birth certificate so they can fight younger fighters and have an advantage over them.
Why don't the Harrison camp man up and stop fighting bums.
It is true that you can fight a little bit but you need to examine yourself and ask do you want to be a pretender or a real man.

Gary Digital Williams said...

I need to respond to the blatant lie above. I have watched Harrison since he was eight years old. I know for a fact he is 18 years old. There are no trumped up birth certificates. Again, another anonymous person spouting without facts!

Why dont you man up and put your name on the comments that you make!!!

"Anderson will try to break a nine-bout losing streak."

This is a joke! I get it, he's still a kid, barely 18 years old and not yet a fully matured man but this is a disgrace of massive proportions.

At least try to fight a guy who is 5 and 10 or so.

Sal said...

If you would focus on your own well-being, you might be much better off. I question your state of mind that allows an 18 year to ruin your day. God forbid the kid win a title, for you may then hang yourself. You must be very weak-minded to let this bother you so much. Trust me, get yourself together, stay focused, don't let Harrison slow you down.
