District Heights, MD lightweight Renaldo "Misunderstood" Gaines has stopped Darrell "Bad Azz" Martin in the third round. Gaines was pretty dominant throughout the contest hammering Martin.
Between the second and third rounds, the ringside physicians were looking at Martin's right eye. However, the doctors allowed him to continue. As the third opened, Gaines hit Martin right on the eye and Martin dropped to one knee. Referee Brent Bovell stopped the contest at 23 seconds of the third.
Gaines scored his first pro knockout and is now 4-1, one KO. Martin falls to 4-14, one KO.
