That was probably an accurate paid attendance and not a papered house. BTW, that's a hell of a lot of people! I wonder if Golden Boy will be back given the refereeing controversy?
I ended up standing because my seats sucked. Without bleachers, you could hardly see anything. I think most of the standing people were seat holders who could see a thing.
I agree... Gary. please write about how terrible the venue was. Loved seeing boxing back in DC and the atmosphere was great, but the sight-lines were terrible. No seats were numbered and the "section" signs blocked the view of the ring all over the venue. We basically paid to watch the fight on a big screen.

I've covered the Boxing scene in the Washington, DC/Baltimore area for 36 years. I was inducted into the Washington, DC Boxing Hall of Fame in November, 2009. hey gary we learned lastnight that it was 9,000 seats alone not counting the people that was standing
