Bedford, VA super middleweight Scott "Cujo" Sigmon has been added to an already locally star-studded ICE Promotions card Saturday, March 12 at the George Mason University Patriot Center in Fairfax, VA.
Sigmon (14-2, nine KO's) was originally scheduled to compete on a card on February 25 in Dover, DE, however, his opponent weighed in more than 20 pounds over the contract agreement. Sigmon has a six-bout winning streak.
Sigmon's opponent will be veteran Robbie "Taz-Mexican" Devil" Tovar of Lafayette, IN (15-6-1, five KO's). Tovar will be trying to break a two-bout losing streak including a loss for the WBC Continental Americas Light Heavyweight title in May of 2009.
Another recent addition to the card -- Mark TNT Tucker -- now has an opponent. His name is Larry "Hitman" Pryor. Pryor (6-8, four KO's) is originally from DC and fights out of Frederick, MD but this will be the first time that he will compete in a Beltway venue.
Both the bouts are slated for eight rounds. As of right now, 12 Beltway Boxers are scheduled to compete on this card. Jimmy Lange is in the main event, the co-main event is the rematch between William Joppy and Cory Cummings, there's an all-Maryland heavyweight clash between Ron Gamble and Abodurin Akinyanju, Todd Wilson takes on Dean White and George Rivera and Tony Jeter are in separate bouts.
