When Jimmy Lange appeared on the first season of the boxing reality show, "The Contender," back in 2005, little did we realize that this would be an occasional trend among Beltway Boxers -- appearing on boxing reality series.

In later years, trainer Jose "Pepe" Correa and boxer Darnell "The Ding-a-Ling Man" Wilson would appear on "The Contender." Now, the females get their turn -- albeit in another country -- and a local boxer is a part of the cast.

"The Bolivian Queen" Jennifer Salinas of Manassas, VA is currently in Mexico competing on an all-female boxing reality series called "Todas Contra Mexico" (All versus Mexico). Salinas is part of an six-female international team that will battle a squad from Mexico. Among her teammates are Keisha "Fire" McLeod of New York and Jennifer Han of Japan. One of the hosts of the show is Maureen Shea, a boxer turned promoter who prepared and doubled Hillary Swank for her role in the movie "Million-Dollar Baby."

No word yet on when or if the show will be shown in the United States.

UPDATE: Salinas has been chosen as the captain for the international squad.
