The Washington Post and other media are reporting that former local pro boxer Keely Thompson has been arrested and charged with stealing $500,000 from his youth boxing center.
The Post is reporting that Thompson was arrested at his home in Accokeek, MD this morning by FBI agents as well as representatives from the Inspector General's office. Thompson was charged with one count of wire fraud and faces a maximum penalty of five years of prison and a $250,000 fine.
