Fernando Guerrero weighed in at 159 for tonight's nationally televised battle at the DeSoto Civic Center in Southaven, MS. Guerrero's opponent, Ishe Smith, tipped the scales at 158 pounds.
The bout will air on Showtime as part of a tripleheader that will begin at 11 PM ET.

The night of boxing on show time were some real competative fights.
The scoring margins and the rounds given to the wrong fighters
are once again a testament to the corrupt state that this sport is in.I guess I should say this busniess is in because it sure doesn't seem like a sport.
FERNANDO is a promising young lion but no way did he win that fight.And Barry Hunter why do you have to wear sunglasses inside a building at night.Do you need those polaroid lenses to make you look cool.I didn't see any gang like hand signals tonight so thats a big plus.

That was a close bout could have gone either way. Congrats to Fernando though for being able to pull out a win like that. My only question is how far can Fernando really go. He has been legitimately knocked down on three seperate occassions. Gary lemme ask you has there ever been a legitmate champion who had been down on the canvas that many times this early in their career?
