GABCAST Marathon!!! Thanks Gary. Since I couldn't be there, it's wonderful to be able to hear them.

Lang will struggle but he'll get the win either by late KO or UD. Farmer will blow out Orji and stop him. Jargal should win, probably by stoppage. Cold Blood will win by first round KO. Jones will beat Batteast. I'd like to see Francois Ambang win he gets nothing but hard, hard fights.

yes poor ambang. he gets out classed by kisner and now knocked out by koralev he needs 1 to go his way finally

Shoot, he hung right with Kisner. That fight was a draw, it should have been a draw and was scored as such by one judge, and everyone knows Nick can't punch. Look at who Ambang has fought: The Russian Killer Kovalev. Alexander Johnson twice, Daivii twice, Robles, Kisner, Espinal. The only easy fight, if it can be called easy, is the Darry Johnson fight which Ambang won. The other win came over Daivii. But hey, that's boxing. Sometimes you've got to take what you get and that's all Francois seems to be getting, tough fights. Kovalev must be a MONSTER puncher to stop Francois. I'll keep an eye on him. And to all the other fighters out there that have Promoters and other people on their side looking out for them and developing them the correct way. Francois Ambang could easily be 9 and 0 and yet he's 2-6-1 and that's not a knock on his team. Why is he 2-6-1? Because he can ONLY get tough fights, he doesn't have a local promoter looking out for him with a little money to put in the kid. To all those fighters out there that have promoters working with you, don't forget them when you're developed in to a 15 or 20 win prospect and make some money on a fight. Don't try to play games with them. It's a two way street. Promoters need fighters and fighters need Promoters. I can think of two fighters of the top of my head (and yes there are many more) who were developed by a local promoter to the point where they fought on Showtime in the past year for big money. That promoter never received a DIME from either fighter from those Showtime checks. Now where would those two fighters be without that promoter putting them on his shows and developing them the correct way with opponents that they would hopefully beat but still learn something in the process, thus attempting to develop them in to legitimate prospects and have a shot at the big time? You could be like poor Francois Ambang, a damn good fighter who now has a lousy record, and as a result, will never get a shot at a Main Event or Co-Main Event spot on TV thus making him some money and a chance to make a real splash in this game. Boxing 101 in a nutshell. Don't forget it fighters and don't screw your promoters!

u call urself the proffesser and have kisner and ambang a draw lmao everyone looked and laughed when they annonced it lmao the 2 judges had it perfect. dont it say something when 1 judge has it diffrent from the other 2. i think we all get the point

I think the judge that had the Ambang fight with Kisner 38 to 38 had it 100% correct because this is Pro boxing, it's not the amateurs. Kisner didn't hit Ambang with anything with any meaning. He landed more shots, yes, but once again this is the pros and you have to take power shots in to consideration when scoring a bout. I was at the fight and I scored the first two rounds for Nick. I think Ambang realized in round three that Nick had no power at all and began walking through him and then began landing meaningful shots of his own which gave him rounds three and four. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

And I meant to add: I'm not putting Nick down. He's got skills, no doubt about that. He's quick and slick and I can't think of any fighter in this area that fought such a tough guy in their pro debut. My hat's off really. But, some power is going to have to develop somewhere along the line for this guy to be a special pro. Just my opinion.

That guy could only be 1 person and thats Jon Gradoski b/c hes the only person that had Kisner fight 38 to 38.

so what about paulie malinggi? i guess he should never win either huh cause he doesnt land hard. the pro scoring is not based on a guy that lands 1 hard shot should win the round aganst a guy who landed 10 soft punches. the point is idiot the one guy just hit the guy more. the point of boxing is hit and not get hit. omg you have to be the dumbest person in this whole entire world. it doesnt matter what kisner was landing. the point is what did ambang even swip kisner with to even win a round. do you realize how stupid you sound i mean really. it was so one-sided nick was poppig right at the right time and made ambang confused and miss everything that he did. that was one of the most shut out fights in maryland history lmao you can tell you dont know to much lmao great retard keep speaking your mind

Let me clarify my point. Rounds 1 and 2, Kisner landed more shots than Ambang probably at a 3 to 1 rate. Hardly any power shots from Nick but that's okay b/c Ambang wasn't very active at all. Rounds 1 and 2, Nick's rounds. Rounds 3 and 4 saw Ambang match, or come close to matching Nick's activity. Ambang backed Nick up and hit him with some decent shots whereas Nick's shots were pitty pat blows, some backhands, and some were even open glove shots. All I'm saying is that in rounds 3 and 4 Ambang came close to matching Nick's activity, backed him up, and hit him with some decent shots. I agree with you, the point of boxing is to hit and not get hit, but Nick did get hit in the 3rd and 4th round with more meaningful shots than he landed on Ambang. Hence, rounds 3 and 4 to Francois Ambang making that fight a draw.

dont u realize u idiot that this is not whateven happened. u have to be john gradowski cause that is the only man that had kisners bout a draw. people talk and laugh about that all the time now lmao kisner easily beat him. look 2 judges had it a shut out for kisner while only 1 judge(which seemed to be the only man in the building) had it a draw and was booed and laughed at as soon as it was announced. kisner was dropping his hands and laughing and playing with ambang. i hope this is a joke cause it was pure dominance by a brilliant young 19 year old kisner

Anonymous said...

yea i have to agree with the last post lol that was kinda one sided. kisner was definently enjoying himself with a big smile an laughing at ambang as he missed everything. nick was hitting ambang at will with both sides jabs. and kisner must slap pretty hard cause ambang stopped running after a while. kisner totally outclassed and the man debating his is either (a hater, john gradowski, or one of nicks victims from any point in time) cause that was very, extremilly one-sided

NOXIOUS said...

Call me crazy but I believe this is a conversation between Jake and Nick.

It aint Jake and it aint John Gradowski just a guy who knows what hes looking at when it comes to pro boxing. And based on what I have seen from John Gradowski's judging, he's a pretty darn solid guy too. Nick's a good fighter, maybe he'll become another Chris Byrd. That style made him a lot of money and got him a World Title, so I guess it's not all bad. Now when it comes to the entertainment value/economic value of that style - well we know that people tune in to Pro Boxing to see punchers and guys that can bang. Sure, being involved in the game we know what we're looking at when we see three and four punch combos, head movement, foot movement, etc. But the average guy wants to see knockouts and that's who's buying the tickets and buying the pay per views. Who made more money and who was more popular? Guys like Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, Joe Frazier or guys like Chris Byrd, Pernell Whitaker, Willie Pastrano, Paulie Malignaggi. Pro Boxing takes effective scoring blows (i.e. - power punches) in to account when scoring a bout. That's just the way it is and the way it should be. Amateur Boxing, different ball game. No extra point when you score a knockdown. A landed jab counts the same as a landed hook or landed cross, whether it wobbles the guy or not. Nick may have been smiling, but he was getting hit with some decent shots from a fighter, who by the way, it pretty darn good himself. My advice to Nick is 1) don't drop your hands and clown - some judges do not like that and they will score against you because of it. 2) stop backhanding, it looks very amateurish. 3) close your hand when you punch and do it ALL the time. 4) stiffen up your jab and every once in a while follow it up with a cross, don't just move and stick and move. 5)remember, you're going to be fighting 4 rounders for a while. Those are the fights with the highest percentage of draws in boxing. Keep popping that jab, and it's a good one, but every once in a while you've got to go POP, POP, POP, BOOM!

nick was jabbing like ali use to. and just because nick doesnt put his hands up doesnt me hes wrong. and please tell me mbang was hitting nick. nick made him miss everything. ambang could not touch nick. put it like this after the fight nick and his corner were all happy ambang and his whole corner were mad and were silent. why? because they couldnt say anything. nick totally outclassed them and they knew it

Anonymous said...

the proffesor. no matter what if u are succesful money will come in either way. yes people like tyson did make more. but remember to get to there u have to be succesful and thats what nick is looking at. so what about floyd mayweather he runs boxing right now. and nick has alot of similarities of him. and he makes money. put it like this any cruiserweight in the delmarva section nick will easily beat plain and simple. july, guerro, robles, seal etc. none of them can beat nick plain and simple

Anonymous said...

Nick is good but lets not put the cart bf the horse. To fight some of those guys hes gonna have to fight 6 or 8 rounds. Nick can fight, good amateur and all that. But amateur boxing aint what it used to be either. Im not saying he lost the fight with Ambang bc he ddnt but it was a draw 38 to 38. When are you fighting again?

The Professor (and you know that)

nick can beat all them right now there not even close to him. and you are the ony one to say it is a draw go get your head checked

John Gradowski - The best judge Maryland has! Write it down Pat Pannella, give the man a raise! No bias, fair to all, even out of towners and opponents! Gradowski for President! The man know how to score a professional fight! And you know thaTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!

Nick is not good! He slaps and that is why he almost lost his first fight. Whats up with the man BOOBS Nick?
