Update on December 19 Card at Rosecroft Raceway!

The Baltimore Pro Boxing card on Saturday, December 19 will no longer be an all-heavyweight card. This is because undefeated Baltimore welterweight Emmanuel "Transformer" Taylor (4-0, four KO's) has been added to the card and will face James Hope of Rock Hill, SC (4-3, four KO's) in a four-round bout.

In other changes to the card, DC rookie heavyweight Maurice "Freight Train Byarm (4-0, three KO's) will take on Akron, OH veteran Mike Miller (6-13-2, three KO's) in a four-round bout. Miller has not fought since winning via second-round disqualification against Kareem Wilson on November 14 in Millersville, MD.

Also, Abodurin "Bo" Akinyanju of DC (2-0, two KO's) will now face Wayne "Hammerhead" Hampton of Capitol Heights, MD (5-5, three KO's) in another four-round bout.

The main event remains the same: Seth "Mayhem" Mitchell battles Zack Page in an eight-round contest. Also, "The Big Ticket" Dwayne McRae will take on Bernell Stewart of Ohio.

The one thing that holds Lamont back is his lack of power. By the mid-rounds you already knew he lost and wasn't going to make some dramatic comeback.

The kid is tough though. I wasn't very thriilled with his gameplan. I was surprised to see him chase Bradley around. I thought it was going to be the other way around. He fights like he's confused. He has the boxing ability and the jab but he chooses to come inside and bang. Against Bradley? What was he thinking? He never showed the ability to adjust either.. but then again Bradley is a tough matchup for anyone

does anyone read the threads/posts? stop posting random shit that has nothing to do with the title of G's posts.

Again Jake is putting together a bull shit card. Emanuel Taylor does not sale tickets Jack. Dwayne McCray does not sell tickets. Bo although surprisingly looks better does not sale tickets. Maurice does not have a fan base. Mitchell well you could just had a pro am and then Mitchell because he does have a fan base. Jake come 2010 please get your shit together.

How are the other boxer's going to get a fan base, if they aren't put on these show's to showcase thier talent?

Good annalyis on the fight, but if u heard Lamont's interview he said the gameplan was to use his jab and box. He got caught in the first round and the second round and that turn the fight around. He said he started pressing after that which was the wrong thing to do.

Hopkins and Mosely are both there and will arrive friday. Comcast is there and Versus wants to show it live. That's why the show is going so well. Furthermore, 3 Miam Fla dancers are there to serve as ring girls.

You can bet your candy ass! All fighters will be coming out of the storage bin after this. Cannot blame them, they should box at home instead of out-of-town like retard Jessie Nicklow. ESPN is scheduled there for mid Feb to watch Seth Mitchell.

Why should they box at home? Nicklow was presented an opportunity to fight on showtime against Fernando. It just happens to be in Minnesota. Why does it matter where it is? I guess it would be great for the hometown guys to fight this type of fight locally. But sometimes you have to go where the fight goes. I think its ideal for it to be out of state.

Both these guys don't have all the pressures leading up to the fight that may happen if it was local. They don't have to run around tracking the tickets they were supposed to sell. They won't have well wishers banging on the locker room door seconds before the fight. They will be in the middle of nowhere focusing on the fight.

As for now they can just focus on the training and getting ready! Instead of calling them retards why don't we enjoy this good fight. Who knows, if it is as exciting and competitive as it could be I then say a huge rematch locally would be they way to go.

Brian well put and although boxing is all about ideas and philosophies
on how to move a fighter and everybody has an opinion I seem to agree with you on this.Opportunity,
opportunity, opportunity.Be ready and take advantage of it when it comes your way.The more I read what you write on here the more I know that you really do know a little bit about the game.

Just an acquaintance

Thank you for the kudos. I think most of the posters do have something to say. Most do say it intelligently. The forum is a great place to discus boxing

Hopkins and Mosely were seen at the Gaylord National hotel at 11:45 today. I guess it's true that they are here to look at a boxer on the Rosecroft card.
