One of the best damn boxing nights I have ever seen. Marcus Gaddis stop Tony Magruder again for the second time. Now this kid may win it all in the Rockies. He looked as sharp as a razor.

Elvis Medrano drops Rector in the first round and goes on to win a decision. Unfortunately Elvis Medrano has a snow balls chance in hell when he gets to the Rockies.

As expected Tez Foxx gave MarQuis Moore a boxing lesson. Actually toyed with him at moments.
Tez is 6 foot 7 and used it to his advantage. Tez just might be collecting that $1250 a month winners fee from the USABF.

No one wanted to fight Murphy. He looked so good last week that he has put the fear of God in everyone. He too is on the top of his game.

James you are right-a great show.
However, you are so wrong about so much. Magruder just lost because he was not properly conditioned. You will see the next time they meet.

Rector was off balance in the first round, plus Medrano has lost to Rector 3 times prior to that.

Tez I cannot argure a word.

Murphy is a 141 novice and in unable to go regardless.

Great officiating! No bad calls...

Keep up the good work Tony. One of the better shows by far.

Fact is fact. . .You can say what could have happened or should have happened in this sport. You have to mae it happen. golden gloves is prestigious, no doubt but it doesn't pay money!!! This was the show for dough. No excuses. $1000 a month for a year is up for grabs. Marcus will be in better condition too, so don't forget. Even before tony gassed out, marcus still looked good. Gaddis won the national silver gloves last year and lost by 3 pts to the Junior Olympic National runner-up - who he previously beat in route to the National Silver Gloves Title.

OH BTW, DID I MENTION THAT GADDIS HAS ONLY BEEN BOXING FOR 2 YEARS!!! That boy has a huge upside. I know he shocked a lot of you, but give that boy his just due.

I also agree Fox looked tough and will only get tougher. He may end up 6'7" but he's not that tall. He's 6'3 1/2", but AT ONLY 16 YEARS OLD, he was very impressive. Great boxer.

There will be some great boxers coming out of Philly for the Regionals. Good luck to all the guys.

look man-tony is a good lil boxer and you dont need all the excuses to why he was stopped. IT SAYS RSC in his book. Referee Stops Contest!
Marcus does not need to box in the Golden Gloves, he has bigger fish to fry. Boxers who now get into the Golden Gloves are the one who lost in the USA Tournament. Dont kid yourself. Furthermore, Tony was out on his feet several times and that is why the ref stopped it right before Barry threw the towel in. I have the entire match on tape and am currently showing it on youtube.com. now tony may make a comeback but he will need to get in better shape. word is that USABF is considering making open class fights 4 rounds of 3 minutes each. SCREW THE GOLDEN GLOVES! $25.oo just to enter. Cheapest ticket at the door$30.00 If you do win, you get paid nothing. I think USA is the only tournament that pays!

RSC or DQ'ed everyone seen what happened. It was a serious beat-down!!! Looks even worse on tape>>>
Forward>>> Reverse<<< Pause===
OMG! Eject in the 3rd. Round

Anonymous said...

from looks of tape-it looks like ref saved Tony from receiving further damage. I pre-dick that Tony wins Golden Gloves!

Anonymous said...

yeah as long as Marcus does not enter

You should never take an oppenant lightly! I hope you dummies have learned a lesson. Did you actually think the guy you were scheduled to box was not training to box you too???

Anonymous said...

technically, not a RSC. Three warnings in one round is an automatic DQ.

Correction I made a silly mistake Elvis Medrano has never lost to Joseph Rector. As a matter of fact all of Rector's only four loses have being thanks to Elvis Medrano he seems he can not get past that boy. I feel sorry for Rector.
