The card for the 15th season premiere of Ballroom Boxing at Michael's Eighth Avenue in Glen Burnie, MD on Thursday, September 25 is complete.
In addition to the already announced six-round matchups between Beltway featherweights Ron "Teflon" Boyd and Tyrell "Da Show Shock'A" Samuel and out-of-town cruiserweights Harvey "Candy Man" Jolly and William "The Storm" Bailey, there are six more bouts scheduled.
There is now an opponent for undefeated Brandywine, MD heavyweight Seth "Mayhem" Mitchell's (5-0-1, four KO's) first six-round contest. His name is Leo Bercier of Great Falls, MT (5-7-1, four KO's.) Bercier is coming off a four-round majority decision loss to Jamiah Williamson on September 13 in Tacoma, WA.
DC middleweight Antonio Walls will make his pro debut against fellow DC boxer Calvin "Shotgun" Aughtrey (0-2) in a four-rounder. Aughtrey fought on the September 5 card at Du Burns Arena in Baltimore and lost a four-round unanimous decision to Keith Gross.
Windsor Mill, MD middleweight Julius Kennedy will take on Virginia Beach, VA's Ivan Ziglar in a four-round encounter. Kennedy (2-1, one KO) won a four-round unanimous decision over Inka Laleye on July 26 in York, PA. Ziglar (1-0-1, one KO) is coming off a first-round TKO over Shelton Barnes on March 14 in Norfolk, VA.
In what should be a nice out-of-town matchup of young undefeated light heavyweights, Bobby Jordan, Jr. of Norfolk, VA will battle William Jeter of Brooklyn, NY in a six-round contest. Jordan (5-0-1, two KO's) won an eight-round unanimous decision over Willis Lockett on August 16 in Portsmouth, VA. Jeter (3-0, two KO's) is coming off a third-round TKO over Pete Guthy on September 12 in Philadelphia, PA.
There will also be a matchup of debuting fighters as Christian Martinez of Brooklyn takes on John Locklear of North Carolina. Also Stevie Weimer of York, PA (1-0-1, one KO) participates in a welterweight matchup against Juan Thompson of Norfolk, VA (0-3).
