I have the perfect guy for tony, james shedrick My bad this bum already ko tony. He dont have much of a heartbeat but thats all it takes stop being a bully and beating up on people like matt hill and think your bad ur a gym fighter only when other fighters ate in the gym.

Tony, what are you scared of? This is a joke, to be a fighter you have to fight. Can you imagine all the bouts Jeter wanted and had turned down by the commission? Jeter is showing very little heart.

Actually, this is the same Chris Cook that took Elias Bouloubassis to a draw back in December of 2006 in Pikesville.

Anonymous said...

Yeah but as per boxrec.com that was Elias' first profesional bout. This is Jeter's 9th. Step it up, and start fighting better competition.

Looks like a good card.

Who's the genius who keeps bashing Tony. Try spell check or go back to school and learn how to spell or better yet show you face at club one and talk that trash.

Just because we find humor in you doesn't mean our lives are pathetic or painful.

Don't start yelping like a puppy before your big fight. Just do your best and if you do a good job you will find more lovers than haters writin in about you.

If you and Mike D can't handle the heat, and are only safe with what your club one chubbies chime in, then stay off this blog.

It's not for sissies, the faint of heart or legends in their own mind.

Mike D. doesn't speak for Tony or anyone else at Club one. I simply comment on the ignorance I read. Everybody is entitled to their opinion though.

Well, actually you did speak for Tony with your quote of

"Who's the genius who keeps bashing Tony. Try spell check or go back to school and learn how to spell or better yet show you face at club one and talk that trash.

Mike D."

Come on Mike D...

You sounded like a brother.

You bailing on Tony?

Gary, he is not the same guy, he has since lost 9 of his last 11 fights. Tony can punch, most people understand that much. The question is, and has been since his first loss, can he take a punch? Does he have the heart to battle?

Fighting guys who show no ko ability and have been knocked out 5 times in two years wont prove much. I am a big boxing fan, like Tony personally, but won't pay him to see this stuff. An 0-2 guy, a 2-3 guy maybe, but he isn't fighting anyone. That is the gripe, he has a reputation for being impossible to to match up because he doesnt want to fight anyone who poses a threat to him, and that is anyone who has shown any ability to box. If he was serious he would fight some of the guys on Paschall's resume, but this is a joke not worth paying for or even watching. All that said, if Tony loses, and he might if this guy has any heart promoting should be his fulltime job.

I'm not bailing on Tony. He's my good friend. I did not speak for Tony or on Tony's behalf. I was just defending him. He doesn't need me to defend him I just had something to say about the comment.
Enough of the talk, come on out to the fights. It should be a great card.

I see the amount of interest this post creates and it is very sad the state the beltway boxing is in.

First of all lets congratulate Better Promotions as a whole for the getting to this point. Also well wishes to them. You would think with all that is going on in this area as it relates to boxers and promotions a company who has set there sights on "bettering" the local boxing scene would be met with open arms this is a breathe of fresh air for the sport, and hopefully will assist in removing the black cloud cast upon the local boxing scene.

Secondly I see all the focus has been geared towards this dude Jeter and his choice of opponent. First of all any MAN who ridicules another MANS decision is one of two things 1) Jealous 2) Nosey. Cause this man doesn't owe anybody anything but his family and newly found promotional company. Lets not forget Jeter is putting together a show, training , and I am assuming going to work everyday so I tip my hat to him there because most have trouble juggling one of the three.

Also Tony should absolutely be selective in his opponent as he is the one taking the risk, as should any boxer. I applaud anybody who makes a man earn his/her paycheck, if he is telling these matchmakers give me a good match hats off to him. I look at the match up like Digital stated this guy has fought some good competition, he has fought at higher weight classes, and he has been more active than Jeter. Is he Next great thing probably not but he is doing more than most by lacing em up and competing, and that attitude makes any man dangerous cause I am sure he is not coming to lose. How many boxers nod there head in acknowledgement everytime they are presented with an opponent I would venture that percentage is slim to none and those that do won't last long. To be honest this dude must have done something to earn that right cause if he was that big of a headache I am sure most would not want to deal with him. Because the dude can bang and has a serious following he gets what he wants bottom line, and guess who blazed that trail thats right, JETER. He is just enjoying the fruits of his labor.

Finally I agree with anonymous #9 to this point Jeter should focus on his promotional company and if he wanted to he I am sure he could and life would be alot easier. I don't know his financial predicament but Im sure boxing doesn't pay any bills. Unfortuantely for the haters though he loves boxing and at the end of the day Jeter is a competitor. Those that question his heart I have been to a few of his fights one of which was his last loss and I also saw him fight in Delaware early on when he got a ND because of a cut. Both times Tony was clearly winning the fight and continued to press. He could have danced around the ring and pitty patted his opponent but instead he kept doing what he does and thats fight. Just like he does the matchmakers with his fights I am sure he will do the same for the boxers fighting on his cards let the powers that be know he wants what is best for him and his team. He understands what a boxer has to endure and what they risk which is why these guys fighting on his card will be treated like they should be.

As for him being the only fighter in the gym doesn't Paschall, Kisner, BJ, etc... work out at the gym. Bottom line this dude is making moves and forreal Im looking forward to see how they do with their first promtion should be nice. If another mans moves make you envious, angry, or gives you any sort of anxiety go outside hook a cinder block to your ankles and jump off a bridge, otherwise you will live the rest of your life miserable and it will be "painful and pathetic".

This Cook guy is the same fighter that spells his name Cooke as well. so you have to look them both up.

What is really funny is that jeter is so lame he doesn't even bring enough ump to attract haters. bottom line is nobody really cares. Yawn.

Hey Boxbible -

Robles is Brad Pitt with a left hook, a motorcycle, and a pony tail! Linda's not the only one, ya heard!

Anonymous said...

For the dude who signs his name T.P and said that paschall trains at thier gym that is bullshit,i use to train there until i found out what shady type of people they are.I would not recommend that gym to anyone, and to tell you the truth,i did train there even after i knew how they were, but only because i was under contract. Thanks MIKE PASCHALL AND IF THEIRS ANY THINK ELSE YOU CAN CALL ME 410 227 5658

I would rather put a cinder block on my ankles and jump off a bridge than read another post like that one. You guys are starting to sound like those whacks that tried to promote in Richmond. Are you affiliated with them?

This will be a great card.

Anonymous said...

Good card outside of Jeter vs. Cook, but you never even really know about that one. If the real Headbanger Jones shows up it could be Mark "TNT" Tucker that gets blown up.

Anonymous said...

Tucker and Tony will both have ko's.

Anonymous said...

or they might get KO'd. Don't sleep on Jones in this one. Upset of the night in my book. Jeter will win but it will probably go the distance.
